don't want to shoot you down, but making a custom bellhousing would require some serious work.... if you want one from scratch, you'd have to mock one up, make a mould, then cast that mould. The other way would require heaps of machining and welding of a combination of factory bellhousings...

Abit of a thread revival, but all good as it never was finished.... for one, the subie boxes aren't transverse, they're inline... and two, the RS turbo US version isn't much stronger than the sti's here... the lambo gear train is a thought, though i have absolutely no idea what they use...

Like i said, here in Australia, the v160 is around as common as the 56 and is both the same price thereabouts. everyone has their own preference... i personally prefer the quick geared v160 which has a very usable 6th unlike variants of the t56... anyhow, i will give Jeff a call tomorrow to...

the v160 is the supra 6speed box made by Getrag. I will speak to Jeff about whether he has anything for the t56 lined up. Here in Australia, the t56 is about the same price, if not more expensive than the v160... here you can get second hand v160's from about $3000 AUD which is alot less than...

hmmm.. now why do people think there is no low end torque in the 2jz??? with a big single then yes, that is true... but in stock twin sequential mode, there is plenty.... right off idle you have heaps of torque.

Hey Daniel, made the transition from sf.com.au to here i see... good choice, hehe... what did you end up doing with your blown 2jz??? can't wait to see what kind of times you pull off with the 1uz though. I'm still trying to work out how to bolt my v160 to the 1uz.... anyhow, good luck...

i am sitting in the Dellow office typing this as i speak. I am here to show Jeff the pictures of an adaptor plate so he can maybe manufacture one for the v160 6 speed box. I personally prefer Dellow as Jeff has been nothing but helpful towards me.

like was posted on one of the threads in the exhaust section, the decking of the flange isn't always perfect... may need a good machining but not to worry, the flanges are thick, so you have plenty of meat to play with. Lex, from all the forums ive been on, most will tell you ssautochrome...

mate, just go to ebay and search for "tundra headers"... the seller is SSautoChrome and there are repeats all the time... no-one ever bids so you always (most of the time) pay for the starting bid amount.... they also have heaps of other items.. check out the ebay store.. warning though...

actually know a guy who bought a set of tundra ones off ebay. costed him just under $300 AUD to his door, though it did take nearly 2 weeks. better than $600 i would imagine.

yeah i would assume it is a 1gz if it's a toyota engine... could be a race only engine though.. who knows.

wow, that's pretty cheap considering these boxes go for around the 2k mark from the wreckers.
