    Gearbox Conversion

There are 2 main variations in the r154's and both have the longer shaft. The short shaft gearbox would probably have been the r150 in the hiluxs and surfs (anyone with definate info feel free to correct me if im wrong). Basically, if you get a soarer r154, it will bolt straight up and...

    Twin Turbo Header

Ok just from that statement, i think you need to do more research... the engine will definately handle more than 400hp in stock form.... torque converter is another issue. As for t3's and t25's, they're worlds apart. T3's are generally larger in all aspects than the t25's.

    Intercooler Setup

bar and plate is more efficient hands down... tube and fin has less flow restriction, but doesnt cool as effectively.

    Weight of turbos

Here's a pic of Justen's dyno run at 10psi with water injection on. He lost a fair few rwkw's with the water on but it runs safer.... you can work out the torque figure from this i think... hehe, my maths aint good enough, so i'll leave it for someone else.

    Converting MAF to MAP

David, very good read there... seems like a good product... i don't know if it would be a good thing for us down under though... we have no support for products like that... price wise, it is quite decent, a little more than the map-ecu, but very good considering the features it carries...

    Top Mount Intercooler

Most manufacturers only do this when space is limited.. and even then it isn't preferred... I think if cost wasn't an issue, all cars with a2a coolers would have them front mounted. There is a major problem with under bonnet heat soaking with the TMIC setup and so is avoided when possible...

    Weight of turbos

ok now that would seem overkill if it wasn't in an exotic car like the 928, hehe... and a little more technical info than i had bargained for, but it's always good to learn something new.... *mental note: porsche gb are cool* also, what model do you have in terms of year of release??? i...

    Converting MAF to MAP

Well, i spoke to a local apexi supplier and he tells me the unit can't do what was said... the MAP-ECU can be used to replace the karman vortex afm with a map sensor. 374 point mapping table, 30psi boost capable, windows based software.... looks to be the goods.... ESP made over 400rwkw...

    Weight of turbos

best to ask JustenGT8 as he is one who has the exact numbers. my guess is it would make 80% of max torque by 3500rpm on smallish twins... a big single will make it further up, but shock loading would increase.... either way, im sure your gb would be fine to handle it.... btw, what...

    473hp/376tq 3UZ-FE

ok you blew my argument away, hehe.... anyhow, bloody beaut brakes.... i'd sell a kidney for those AP brakes.... 6 up front with those 4 on the rear... that would be sweet.... though actually, i'm not too far off getting Endless 6 piston setups for my fronts (supra).

    Weight of turbos

ok i think limiting the torque to 500 ftlb is going to be a problem with turbo charging.... well not so much a problem, but i think you're going to achieve that much torque way too easily. Reason i say this? because most of the turbo 1uz's out there are making that much torque on tiny amounts of...

    Lextreme Feb, 2005 Stats

definately shows there is alot of activity... but where are all the forum members???? i don't see large number of posts... most of the posts are from a small group of regulars... *scratches head*

    TOMS V8 parts

well, the first link is the wrong tom's racing, but the second one looks to be the right one i guess... well at least they sell some tom's products... though i don't think it's the official Tom's site.

    Weight of turbos

turbo system, twin or big single good exhaust and intake good aftermarket ECU low comp forged pistons forged rods good cooling system, a2a or w2a total valvetrain upgrade with cams headwork there's a general list of parts you could do with....it's the list im building mine off (though...

    JGTC Supra Engines

i heard they were all custom TRD parts.... doubt you'd find them on any catalogue though. Wayne Gardner use to drive the Tom's supra back in the late 90's... back when it had the 3sgte in it....

    STi Vs. Evo

well, the wrx range is new to the states still.... we've had them here for over 10years now.... and after all that time, the evo's still come out on top... here at least... but then you also have to remember that only just recently did our local impreza's start using the RS 2.5 litre bottom...

    JGTC Supra engines

ummm, i don't think you can compare those jgtc race engines to anything street.... i doubt there are many parts on those engines that are factory spec... and yes, they do run silly compression in excess of 12:1... i think the reason why there aren't any big power n/a 1uz's is the cost...

    Converting MAF to MAP

Can anyone verify this???? if so, this will be my choice of fuel control when i go twin/single (unsure which road i'll be taking) turbo when the time comes.... i'd go to my local Apexi dealer to ask, but alas, it's a sunday....

    473hp/376tq 3UZ-FE

if there's one thing about nissan you have to learn, it's that they tend to underrate their power outputs.... or at least stay on the conservative side of things.... for example, the GTR's.... my brother owned a Series 3 98 model R33 V-Spec and that was rated at 280ps.... a drive in it tells...
