    my only real guess is that without the EGR system, there is less air in the exhaust, which the 02 sensor will pick up and cause the engine to run leaner..... but how much? i don't know..... but one thing for sure is that 1uz's run rich from the factory, so this might not be a bad thing at all....

    The vertex soarer is totally stripped and is running a 1jz vvti single turbo engine.... everything on that car is carbon fibre, all the way down to guards, interior panels, and doors... that thing is hell light.... Ken's R34 sedan is also stripped and lightened significantly.... same goes...

    if it's a convertible, it would be an s4 or s5, as they're the only ones that came that way.... in which case, aren't much lighter than a mk4... s4-s5 are pretty heavy between 1300-1400kg.. dont know how much lighter/heavier a drop top version is though..... my mk4 weighs 1480kg with sound...

    isn't that the colour scheme for the late model tail lights?? as for the diff, i think a TT supra (93-96.5)one would require a little bit of work to bolt on... nothing majour though... 93-96.5 TT used B03 diff centre 3.2ish ratio 96-02 TT used A03 diff centre slightly different ratio...

    Warren, sounds great.... a little biased though.... I for one definately can't see how an n/a 1uz (even with 8 tb) would blow away a twin turbo supra (unless it was an earlier mk3 model with the 1g motor).... or there could be something wrong with your son's car, hehe.... seriously though...
