my only real guess is that without the EGR system, there is less air in the exhaust, which the 02 sensor will pick up and cause the engine to run leaner..... but how much? i don't know..... but one thing for sure is that 1uz's run rich from the factory, so this might not be a bad thing at all....

exactly... it's pollution control.... well, it helps lower emmisions by allowing air into the exhaust (correct me if i'm wrong guys).... it doesn't actually reduce emmisions, it just mixes air into the exhaust to decrease the PPM count of certain molecules.... well, that is my basic...

i can imagine there's going to be some minor complications as the US spec 1uz's ran EGR's... you may get away with it.... though i have a feeling it wont be a matter of just swapping over ecu's..... and if someone actually quoted you that much to get rid of the speed cut, they should be...

The vertex soarer is totally stripped and is running a 1jz vvti single turbo engine.... everything on that car is carbon fibre, all the way down to guards, interior panels, and doors... that thing is hell light.... Ken's R34 sedan is also stripped and lightened significantly.... same goes...

if it's a convertible, it would be an s4 or s5, as they're the only ones that came that way.... in which case, aren't much lighter than a mk4... s4-s5 are pretty heavy between 1300-1400kg.. dont know how much lighter/heavier a drop top version is though..... my mk4 weighs 1480kg with sound...

a pair of makkinen 6.5 turbo's would be awesome.... hell expensive though.... those thing spool like crazy.... i went for a ride in my mate's 6.5 and it litterally had no lag... and he was running 1.5 bar off it... which is ok according to all the reputable mags and workshops.... can you...
