1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

had a fairly close look today (the engine is presently out and sitting in a bench) cannot really ascertain by just looking if the sensor is in the hot or the cool oilstream will get hold of a infrared thermometer and check temperatures when engine goes back in I am now reasonably sure that...

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

thanks, and wow! oil temp about 10-15 degrees below coolant temp, that would suit me fine thanks will dig deeper into this now, need to sort out a few other things first though, and see if I can get hold of one of these infrared temp measuring devices

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

Btw, you say your oil is at 80/85 Celsius, what is your water/coolant temperature?

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

Right, I'll have closer looks and see if I can decipher the bracket where the sensor is screwed in

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

Well, not sure your question is directly applicable. The oilfilter is screwed into a bracket on the left side of the engine block. This bracket is not screwed onto the engine block but is an integral part of the engine block cast. The temperature sensor is screwed into this bracket. (the...

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

Have had a closer look. When mounting the Monster oil cooler the oil filter is taken out, and the coupling supplied by Monster is screwed into the filters place. Then the filter is screwed into the Monster supplied coupling. The pressure sensor is screwed into the Monster supplied...

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

Wish I knew where to get hold of a laser temp gauge in Bangkok, but I'll ask around.

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

By the oil filter. The oil cooler was supplied with a biggish coupling that is screwed into the engine (replacing the filter) then the filter is screwed into the coupling. Temp sensor and pressure sensor is also fitted to this coupling, I'll take a closer look later today.

    Wanted Plugs for 1UZ ECU

The Toyota part number of my ECU is 89661-50241. (94/95 Celsior) I would like a set of plugs for this ECU. Would anybody know where I could buy a set of plugs, (online)? Just the plugs, no cabling. Or would anybody have a spare set that I could purchase?

1UZ and suitable engine oil temperature

I am not happy with the oil temperature on my 1UZ: I have a relatively big Monster radiator with two powerful Bosch thermostat controlled fans. I am using the red anti freeze fluid in black plastic cans, Toyota pre mixed coolant. There is between 10 and 11 liters of coolant in the system...

Anyone fitted an Engine Oil Cooler to a 1uzfe??

Sorry for bumping and old thread. But have a question re oil cooler/temperatures, so rather than making a new thread .......... 1UZFE: Have a relatively big Monster radiator with two powerful Bosch thermostat controlled fans. Use the red fluid in black plastic Toyota pre mix coolant. Between...

Anyone know how to replicate this sort of sound?

I have the engine behind me when driving, so the sound isn't too bad (for me that is).

Anyone know how to replicate this sort of sound?

right, have no mufflers the different pipe sizes have to do with space constraints cannot do 4 * 3 inch all the way
  17. M

Anyone know how to replicate this sort of sound?

sounds very similar to my 1uz, in particular when idling / have 4 pipes / about 2 inches from the engine block the exhaust enters 2" pipes that runs the length of the block and a bit more / then about 12-15 inches of 2.5" pipes / finally about 20 inches of 3" pipes

    1UZ doesn't start (igniter?/timing?)

Just an observation, for what its worth. Have now had my 1UZ almost 3 years. Have had serious electrical related problems 3 times. Have needed a Toyota electrician twice. Without being clever with wiring myself I find the 1UZ a bit tricky and demanding. (have put a lot of effort/time/money...

    1UZ doesn't start (igniter?/timing?)

Just a comment on some of the timing belt tutorials I have seen. They use terms like left and right. Clockwise and anticlockwise. Seen from the driver's side Seen from the passenger's side. etc. Not very precise terms. Whether the driver is sitting on the left or right side usually varies...

    1UZ doesn't start (igniter?/timing?)

The engine worked fine yesterday and the day before. (will put it back into the boat tomorrow) Surely, early on the timing was way off. However, the problem persisted after the timing belt was corrected. It actually seems like it boiled down to a partly faulty fuel pump. (A 2 year old Merc...
