    Your running dextron III in a 1UZ auto? There is your problem most likely.. they use toyota type IV fluid.. (Or castrol transmax Z) Get your auto flushed, and get the correct fluid in there...

    Well, apart from the air-con, the engine bay is finished... Bonnet got fitted today, as did one headlight.. ran out of light. I'll bolt the front-end back together tomorrow and then start on making the dash wiring looks normal again and get it back together so the interior can be cleaned...

    Its turned out really well... Thermo fans are wired, just need the temp set on them... Nearly finished tidying the engine bay wiring... about 1 hour left to finsih the tidying up.. I'll bolt the front end back-together and then re-assemble to dash... Still finalising the tailshaft...

    NICE!!! :veryhappy Wish I had the time to do the engine bay on mine like that... no use for me tho... its a daily driver that will travel way too many dirt roads to keep it clean... :shrug: Did you do the polishing yourself? No leaks after the rebuild? :P

    1uz sitting lop-sided in halfcut

    Looks like the result of broken engine mounts... My celsior cut the engine was flat, but the engine mounts & the gearbox mounts were broken.. How do the engine mounts look?

    Just a quick update.. Wiring is nearly done... only things left to hook up is the speedo, and the switches on the trans for overdrive & 'power' modes... Modified the gear selector so it mounts into its new home.. hopefully start it again tomorrrow and make sure the gauges & lights are...

    Help with driveshaft : Celsior output

    Yea.. thats what the tailshaft guy in cairns was recomending... The problem occurs in the fact that my car never ran a centre bearing like that and thus needs to be mounted somewhere... This will require more engineering to be approved, and apperently I need to get approved 'plans' done...

    So if I can get the output flange from an auto 4 runner, it will just bolt on and allow me to run a standard slip joint? Adding the center bearing looks like its going to be a total f**kfest with reguards to keeping the engineer happy, so the slip joint might have to happen...

    Its the stock one from the celsior... Just happened to fit into the orig celsior position with a little help of some mounts... I'm not sure if I should leave the toyota logo there or not... I'll see how it looks finished.. I'd like a supercharger sitting there, but there is no clearance...

    The local tailshaft guy was suggesting that I install a center bearing, and run a similar setup to the 2wd hilux... I wonder what it would cost to get the gearbox bits and do it that way so I can keep the slip-joint..

    No Problems... Its a stock EB radiator (Well, i've ordered one with a bigger core..) and I have a twin 10" thermo fans that were for a EL/EF falcon (New as well) The bottom hose is the stock falcon one, joined to some straight pipe to connect to the v8... The top hose is the stock bottom...
