Stiffer Valve springs? mizumo gasket kits?

I'd imagine the pressure being applied to the back of the valve would cause valve float at a lower rpm. Just a guess here but if the Radius of the valve is 0.76 inches. Then the surface area of the back of the valve would be around 1.81 inches squared. So if you're running 5lbs of boost that...

    oils

Penrite have increased their zinc levels for their Petrol oils, they did that because of people using the diesel oils but with less detergents because there were worries that the heavier detergents "could" cause problems. I think pretty much any of the good brand name oils in the right weight...

    Camshaft timing

Ah that'd be nice, for adjustable cam gear you need to lose the rotors/caps I think. I have not seen any available, I'll keep looking around. Even if this were possible I think 15 degrees total might be pushing it.

Stiffer Valve springs? mizumo gasket kits?

Shim over is exactly what you said. Shim over Bucket. With regrind cams the Base circle is reduced so you have to get thicker shims or caps. Without stronger springs, a shim over bucket setup may spit your shims out of the bucket and have it's way with your engine. Performance Springs...

    Exhaust Merging options and Scavenging

on that note though, how much difference in power do the think that flow would equate to when comparing 2" mandrel and 2.25" crushed. If the difference is minimal enough then wallet efficiency has priority over volumetric efficiency I guess. Still would be interesting to find out exactly how...

    Camshaft timing

Does anyone know how many degrees of timing each tooth on the Intake cam timing gear, and scissor gear are? I saw somewhere mention of it being 7.5 degrees, so was wondering if it were possible to retard the intake cam 7.5 via shifting the gear 1 tooth and advance the exhaust 7.5 via the...

http://planetsoarer.com/OilAnalysis/OilAnalysis.htm This article has me thinking Penrite 10w-50 semi synthetic would be a good choice. And Shell helix looks pretty good too, just heard a lot more people recommend penrite.

    Exhaust Merging options and Scavenging

Ok here's a quick question for our exhaust guru, JBrady. Answer may help a few others. My exhaust (2.25 dual with balance pipe)my original exhaust guy suggested putting a small balance pipe in my twin exhaust setup and due to lack of research, I let him go with the balance pipe instead of the...

94 LS400 - sluggish acceleration, and low RPM pinging

Make sure you're not using Shit Fuel. Next I'd get aftermarket management and a dyno tune. During that you can spot sensor readouts on the Computer software and if any sensors are doing bizarre things you should notice them. I had some pinging and found a loose Vac hose, but I was also running...
