    TT1UZ to HQ-HZ

Hi Andrew, No, haven't driven it yet but have spoken to others who have done it before. They say it feels quite light but not as light as the power assisted original box. Also good feel at high speed, which as a HQ-WB driver yourself, you would know is lacking with power assisted boxes on these...

    TT1UZ to HQ-HZ

Here's a pic of the fuse and relay panel that I made up. This is in addition to the cars existing fuse box. As this vehicle is pre EFI many extra circuits needed to be added. I made up a panel to fit inside the Glove compartment for easy access and this keeps it all well hidden too. The whole...

What I found in an engine

:eek1: OMFG Glad mine didn't look like that. I guess it's a testament to Toyota, to have still been going with that kind of neglect.

    M112 On Richwood Manifold

My 1uz, which was from a JDM celsior came with the dark green ones. Pretty sure someone from here flow tested both colour injectors, could have been Peewee maybe.

    M112 On Richwood Manifold

I was under the impression that the violet top injectors (crown) only flow 215cc and the dark green ones (soarer/celsior) flow 251cc. Cheers

    M112 On Richwood Manifold

Have you had the injectors flow tested/balanced? Sounds like a fuel distribution problem, but individual EGT's will tell. If the injectors come up okay it could be a distribution problem within the fuel rails feeding the injectors. Are you running standard fuel rails/injectors or modded? How...

lexus v8 to getrag clutch-now available

Chris have you looked into using the 3sgte flywheel and clutch setup? The flywheel is the correct size and just needs a lead in ground onto the back of the ring gear teeth, as the 1uz starter engages at the rear as opposed to 3sgte that engages from the front. The other issue is the crank bolt...

    Steam pipe Turbo manifolds

Finally finished these the other day. Got sick of my welder mate stuffing me around so I did them myself. Made a few changes also and re-did all of the pipe merges, as I wasn't happy with them. Just have to get the flanges milled then off to the ceramic coaters. Pics below.

lexus v8 to getrag clutch-now available

W58 is definately a different spline to the Getrag. W & R series Toyota boxs all share the same spline input shaft though. Eg: w55-58, R151, R154, also the manual box behind the 3sgte(dont know the code) has the same 23 spline shaft, hence some folk using the 3sgte flywheel and clutch setup. I...

Project Thread Toyota Land Cruiser Turbo

When welded components crack it is always next to the weld not the weld itself. Double welding in my opinion will not strengthen that manifold. No amount of welding will make up for a bad design. Try do design your manifold to minimise leverage acting against it from the turbo. Brackets will...
