    fuel consuption

The worse my 1UZ-FE 4Runner has got so far is about 22l/100km, but that was mostly driving on the beach, around town its getting around 18l/100km and on the highway 15l/100km. Its worse around town and offroad than the old V6 (not by much) and better on the highway. The difference the truck is...

Nah I done a ball joint lift on the IFS, which gives you more than 3" lift out of the IFS, but the CV's end up on horrible angles, hence lowering the diff. I don't think you will need to lower the diff, and I think you will also get away with a front sump and 1" bodylift. More info on the...

    V8 4runner Clutch Problems

Will the Litium Spray Grease has seemed to of almost done the job. The clutch deffinetly felt a lot better this morning on the drive to work. I ended up removing the slave cylinder on the side of the bellhousing which gave just enough room to see the pressure plate and also the pivot ball...

    V8 4runner Clutch Problems

Thanks for the info Zuffen...I know what your refering to.... I spoke to Dellows yesterday and they haven't heard of anything like this happening before. The only thing he could suggest is, before pulling the gearbox out, was to buy some litium spray grease and try to spray some on the...

My front sump 1UZ cleared the front Toyota IFS (Diff & Steering) with no mods. The oil filter was fine too. The 2" bodylift helped, but you might get away without a bodylift. Webbie (see 1UZ into Surf Thread) will be trying a front sump with no bodylift on his this IFS Toy in the next couple...

    V8 4runner Clutch Problems

Zuffen, what exactly is the diaphram? Is that what Direct Clutches would have played with to increase the clamping pressure of the clutch? One other wierd thing with the clutch that I forget to mention is when the motor turned off the clutch is smooth as, soon as you start the motor it gets...

    V8 4runner Clutch Problems

I've done over 1000kms in since installing the Lexus V8 into my 4Runner. For the first 1000kms the clutch was fine, the pedal felt nice and engaged nice, with no slipping. But it the pedal/clutch has slowly gotten worse over the last week. It has gotten really sticky and engages really rough...

    operating temp???

Just a quick question on the thermo fans....I just have mined wired to be switched by the ignition at the moment, but have a temp switch to install in the top hose soon. Is it recomended to still have the fan switched by the ignition as well as the temp switch? or is it better to have it only...

    1UZFE into V6 4Runner with Wolf 3D

I considered doing that for a while too, but deceieded not to mainly for looks, since I'm a bit of a show pony.

    1UZFE into V6 4Runner with Wolf 3D

I've chucked out all the packages that would have part numbers, but you should be able to get most of it pretty easy. The airflow meter to pod adapter was made by Redline. You can see in the pics it just isn't wide enough to have holes drilled in it to go onto the studs of the AFM, so some...

    1UZFE into V6 4Runner with Wolf 3D

No worries, I spent a fair bit of $$ trying to get a VL Airbox to work with my setup, with some stainless pipe between the throttle body and AFM. But just couldn't get it to work the way I wanted. So in the end I used the std. intake resonator box, but had it modified to clear the brake...

    1UZFE into V6 4Runner with Wolf 3D

I think you might be right with the fluid getting hot. I'm running the setup with the resivor on top of the pump and 33's on 15x10's with big offset. The lines are each about 20cm long from the pump to the box. It mainly seems to cut out after it has been driven for a while and when in low...

    I've got the UZ bug!

jerbear, you should end up with pretty much the same setup as mine then, as I would asume your hilux (pickup) has IFS? I would add a 2" bodylift before proceding with the conversion otherwise you will deffiently need sump mods and remote oil filter.

    1UZFE into V6 4Runner with Wolf 3D

No need for that Zuffen, I'm sure we might catch up one day. You planning on going to the Tuff Truck Challenge in April at all? I'm planning to take the 4Runner down to that.

    1UZFE into V6 4Runner with Wolf 3D

I used the standard crown headers, but plan to get some custom ones late this year. The guy that done my exhuast said about $100 a pipe ($800 total) I'd say the performance gain would be worth it, as the crowns look pretty restrictive.
