    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

If that's what you want, especially flat torque curve, I would go with just a twin screw supercharger. You can get one to support 600 HP easily, with reasonbly low intake temps. Take a look a whipple superchargers. I would not consider a twin charge setup, whether it's sequential, compound...

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

RMS, what I am trying to convey is the swept volume in an engine does not change much at all no matter what the pressure differences are. Swept volume = CFM. Yes, you can see some CFM differences across the valve, but the engine is a pump, and at best it will sweep in/out its displacement give...

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

Take an N/A engine, which flows 600 CFM at max rpm, what CFM will it flow with a turbo running: 5psi? 600 CFM 15psi? 600 CFM 85psi? 600 CFM (all give or take a very small percentage) If you don't understand why they all flow the same CFM, then you don't understand why superchargers are not...

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

200sx-v8, sorry, you are way off. If you add the SC (one that displaces more air than the engine) between the turbo and the engine, you will actually reduce the pressure between out of the turbo -this is because the SC is gulping in the air much faster than the engine did, lowering the...

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

A supercharger, sized properly for the engine (generates more CFM than the engine), will never EVER restrict a turbo blowing through it. Rytherwr, I appluad your experiments, but the results are meaningless if the AFR was off with the supercharger in place. Guys, it's simple physics, the...

    200 MPH Supra

Yes, the V160 can wind out to 200 mph given a slightly higher redline, and Tommy's car has a V160.

    intake length with Eaton charger

If you can get the blower to blow up, in to a plenum, then have the runners go from the sides of the plenum, straight down to the heads, that would give you decent length runners, while retaining the blower close to the "V". This is probably very hard to do with pre '98 motors, as the intake...

    Standalone ECU Link ECU

To control 1/2/3UZ vvti, we need two extra cam sensor inputs. So 1 crank, one standard cam, and 2 for vvti for a total of 4 trigger/wheel inputs. I only saw that the G2 had two trigger inputs. Does it have the ability to have four by using some of the standard inputs?

    Standalone ECU Link ECU

Very interesting info. Can the XLEM control 8 individual coils (-not- wasted spark)? And you mentioned single cam vvti -is this just one cam total, or one cam per bank?

Looking forward to seeing that vvti manifold!

    Custom Flywheel

KazeSupra, yes, the distance is just fine. The input shaft is at the right position related to the clutch and pressure plate. I have not driven mine yet. but I have assembled it all with a single disc clucth and a ACT pressure plate, which is very similar to the WOTM clutch package. If clutch...

    Custom Flywheel

Dass is right. The 2JZ block's rear flange protrudes much further back, about 3/4" more than the 1UZ, which is perfect for the adapter plate. KazeSupra, if you want to use Supra cluthces, I would either try to find a custom flywheel shop to make you a flywheel that uses mkiv pressure plates...

    Supra MKIV

They still command a high price. There are only about 2 dozen of my Supra year/color/transmission (1998/quicksilver/6-speed) in the US.

    08 Supra?

If it has 350 HP, I think they are following the same strategy they did back with the mkiv, at least in comparison to the other import options out there. They will have a comfortable lead over the 350Z, about the same gap they had with a [stock] mkiv supra over the 300zxtt. I think we tend to...

    Twin Screw Supercharger

Wow, that 8 rib full replacement sounds -really- nice! I would love to see a picture. As for fords, don't they use the roots blower, which typically requires a lot more HP to turn? I wonder if the twin screw would be OK with the 6 rib. Although, with a kit ready to go, why risk it I guess.

    Twin Screw Supercharger

That is an amazing setup! I do have one question: Can it be possible to use the existing 6 rib belt system to drive that supercharger? I was a little confused as to why the 8 rib system is used. Does the curent 8 rib drive only the supercharger, whielt he 6 rib drives all the other...

    1UR Engine

What about the magnesium/aluminum combination that BMW uses on production cars? Also, in F1, those cranks are as light as they can possibly make them, so they can last just as long as they need. I would bet a big difference in weight between a factory engine and F1 engine is in the crankshaft.

    1UZ fits in Supra!

2UZ does not accept SC400 mounts. You need to fabricate mounts to connect the block to the rubber isolators. I am not sure if the 2UZ heads fit the 1UZ. They probbaly bolt on, but the cumbustion chamber may not match.

    1UZ fits in Supra!

Sorry, I have searched my pics, and I don't have the other side. The motor is out of the car right now, too. I can tell you it's a very tight fit on other side if you want to do headers. The steering column takes up more room than I anticipated.

    Veyron Engine

New LS is over 2 tons and gets 27 mpg highway. It's not all about weight, especially on hwy miles. That veyron engine is just a thirsty one.
