Fair price for V8 Turbo manifolds?

I've personally seen the amount of time and material it takes for you to build a set of headers. I think a set of mild steel headers hand built should be in the $1250 range.

    10:1 Pistons GP?

Chris and I had a small failure with the Group Buy Ross pistons. We actually noticed a problem with the piston not being relieved by the exhaust valves, and thought about making our own relief, but we figured that Ross makes performance pistons all day long, and that they probably new what they...

    Its done!! T70 with a 50mm gate.

My 1UZ-fe made 321 RWHP, and I think 312 RWTQ at 7-8 PSI on 2 CT-26's I'm sure a single T-70 will make a little more, but Did they do the dyno pull in a lower gear 1st or 2nd? this would throw off the torque alot I'm running the stock lexus SC gear 3:93?

    what oil are you using?

I use Mobil 1 15w-50 lighter weight oils will free up some HP, and slightly better gas mileage Heaver weight oils handle heat better, and improve motor life in high HP conditions.

    1200+rwhp Mustang

i think the fire was from the extra fuel-and the short race headers. not a real fire, but just the exhaust filled with a bunch of fuel.. i don6t particularly like mustangs,, but that was a cool, i mean "hot" vid..

    Nascar Tundra setup!!!!!

The NASCAR Truck Series Tundra has 0 to do with an actual toyota product. Nothing on the Truck is Toyota. The sheet metal is somewhat made to look like a Tundra. If you saw one up close it has a lot different As in the Nextel Cup Series up until 98 the only thing on the car that had to be the...

    Heat Treatment

I did alot of research on Cryo with the last motor I did, and was under the understanding that cryo treated the surface, and made the cutting edges stronger, with small increases in strength. Such as the crank journals, & cylinder walls would last longer with less wear. That why it's used so...

    Rebuild of the SC's 1UZ

the picture is me with the pipe, on the mains. They call for (I think) 18 Ft lbs plus an additional 90 degrees. the pipe makes the 90 degrees very smooth. I was posing for the picture, but somebody cut off my head. We figured someone would catch it, and comment. thats why i posted it.

How much NOS spray can this block take?

I put over 200 RWHP on the stock motor and didn't have any problems. Pauters X-bean rods are in my oppinion the best in the market. With Pauter rods, and J&E pistons, I see no reason the motor couldn't handle over 1000HP If the fuel is right.

    Rebuild of the SC's 1UZ

Chris, & I heard that too, or at least the internet says so, We double checked with our local Lexus, & Toyota dealer. (largest in the US) They both claim that they reuse the head bolts. and only replace them if one is broken The SC manual claims they can be reused. It's not a fact of the $ for...

    Rebuild of the SC's 1UZ

Yes we are reusing the stock head bolts. I checked with Lexus, and double checked in the 93 SC400 manual, and the bolt are not torque to yeild, and can be reused.

    Rebuild of the SC's 1UZ

the new head gaskets I got from Lexus are different then the ones we took off.I did notice that the oil stains at the rear of the head were alot draker then the front of the head, and the new head gaskets seem to have the larger water passages toward the last cylinder. I'm hopin this is to run...

    Rebuild of the SC's 1UZ

Chrisman and I put a 20v 4A-GE together. We went from N/A to Boost on it also, and went through a couple of head gaskets at low boost. we ended up using a stock Toyota Head gasket, and pushed the 1.6L to 20 PSI, and never had a problem. We also had trouble with after market rod bearings, and...

Were can i find headers for my 93 sc400?

My 93 SC400 ran at the track a 15.8 @ 87MPH I installed an air intake, and 3 in mandrel bent true dual exhaust. only the stock header remained. no cat, no resinator, or muffler. the car then ran a 15.7 @ 89MPH not a huge increase, but I did have the stock exhaust manifolds still on the car.
