Another update on rdms TT sc400..

Got some new pretty parts for my 1UZ and thought I'd share. Powdercoating the intake manifold (Upper & Lower) both valve covers (Red) both water bridges, motor mounts, and oil pan (Upper & Lower) (Black) was $395. Should be much more durable then paint, although I think paint looks alittle...

    My 1uzfe twin turbo finnished!

Yeah, i don't think i was anywhere near the 860 number. I think close to 600 at the crank is a good estimate. It's awesome to hear the HP#'s and the # of pulls you did on that motor.

    new pics of sc400!!!

the brakes look real nice. Are they the supra TT calipers painted black, or is that a lexus part. Either way I like the gloss black, with the lexus logo.

    My 1uzfe twin turbo finnished!

at 18psi I made 510 at the wheels. I know it's not the same measurement, but thats awesome!!! I do have a light port on my heads, but it was more to clean up the casting marks, then to open, or change the runner shape. Driving that car has got to be a BLAST!!! It's beautiful by the way. congrats

Anyone close to 300hp on IUZFE motor with stock internals?

are you talking 300 HP N/A? Cause with 8 PSI on a stock motor with 157,000 on it I made 371 at the rear wheels.

That'll never work! That fool is going to have his car down for months! Just think of all those poor guys with LS1 & 2's when it's done though.

    Turbo or general mods?

The cost is ALWAYS more then you budget! the best advice I can give is to try and make up your mind, and have a game plan before you start. Purchasing things like headers, and an exhaust, then having to change all of it to do a turbo set up is a waste. A boosted setup will be alot more power per...

    Shift kit A340 awesome!

They are simply replacing a couple of springs. You can also shim the stock ones to get the same effect. This can be acheived for pennys. Ask Chrisman which ones to shim. Knowledge is worth $330.

Look at what Philly Just won1

I know a guy using those one his SC, but he's an ass! JK They probably will need to be reclocked. I just removed the pins, and didn't reinstall them (So far no trouble) The acuator was a problem. We used a spring in it's place until we fabed a bracket to hold it correctly. They will probably max...

    LSD for SC 400

I purchased a stock Supra Torsen carrier for $300 on Ebay Installation was easy remove the old diff from the car, open the diff & remove the carrier, clean & inspect the diff, remove the ring gear from the carrier, clean & inspect, bolt the ring gear on the new carrier, and reinstall the new...

    TH 400 Adapter

I'm pretty sure Max (redsupra) has a source for them. Actually I think he is selling his adapter plate, and TH400 trans. But I'm pretty sure a stock TH400 isn't going to hold the torque either, and building a TH350-TH400 can get pretty expensive plus you loose OD. If your looking to drag race, I...

    TH 400 Adapter

I used the raybestos Blue friction plates, Koleen steels, raised the line pressure, and shimmed the acuators. My trans held the 500 RWTQ for months now. One of the solenoids started sticking, but it was original. (I'm pretty sure it failed do to use, not power) But the launch was still the same...

Stupid Question that I hope someone will answer..

I belive that if the level gets to high, it will be at the level of moving parts, which will result in them whipping air into the fluid. when the fluid is used as pressure to engage each pack of clutches, it compresses the air instead of the clutchpacks, which will allow them to slip more easily.

    Disappointed Dyno

David I have dual 3" with 2 straight through mufflers, flowmaster 40 series mufflers , and a turbo on each side. The car is quiet. It's loader then stock, but not really loud. a lexus owner would know it, but the general public probably doesn't. I'm sure there is HP to be gained by going to a...

    Disappointed Dyno

not as choppy, but close. The second small graph is the 370RW at 8psi on the stock pistons. the AFR was all over the place If I remember correctly they smothed out the graphs a little. I think they looked more like yours when first made.
