    In my experience many do. That is how I know the V160 was 5600 in parts, and an A340E was 4500. They are called Camry and 4Runner owners, and they exist in great numbers. It is the enthusiast market that goes cheap.

    I think it is a great engine. Actually, it has been that way since the beginning of time, and will never change. The bigger the pump, the more it can move. You can improve eficency of any pump. All else being equal, the larger pump will move more air. And boost is artificial displacement.

    The LS and SC have different transmissions. Well, the first ones did. And they both can be improved in the valve body by doing a small modification. Have you checked for any trans DTC's?

    Hard is a relative term. Without driving it, nobody can even determine if there is a defect. Does the difficulty go away as the car warms?

    I don't agree. All stock by some of them are 'Lid, Maf, chipped, exhaust, pulleys' etc. In other words, if you haven't ported the head, changed the cam added a power adder, it is still stock. Hell, why not split hairs over 7%. And the SS has that low restriction exhaust and high flow intake...

    The LS1 had a change in '00 or '01. I have seen plenty of dynos that were 265-280 rwhp, which was a big jump over the LT1. In GM performance mags on a dynojet. The year it switched to a 5 hp jump, they were pretty consistent to 300 rwhp. From what I remember. Either way pretty darn good. One...

    Weird random vibration.

    Is it random or does it happen when you acclerate? Those are different. Accerlation could be driveshaft. Often a driveshaft that needs to be rephased, or retimed if you will, will vibrate with accleration or deceleration only. You would have to have removed a shaft or u-joints to get this...
