What's the fastest car you have ever drove?

Heh, I *had* a 19yo nymphomaniac, she was the biggest freak in bed I have ever and think will ever meet.....but thats another story. Anyways, I have personally done 137mph in an F355 and have been on the back of a bike at 147mph and ridden my own bike (SV650S) flat out at 136mph...

Update on Paul Carey UZFE powered Drag Car

I'm guessing that going for a full girdle would mean you wouldn't have to bother with stronger caps as turboandrew mentions, have you got any links to the stronger ones they use though?

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

Have you got any examples/pics of this, I can't figure out how you cool cool after the SC when it is bolted directly on top of the engine or do the SC's get moved to another location? Would it be sensible to cool after the TC and then cool again after the SC?

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

Warpspeed, chill dude, we are all good in here aren't we? Frankly I think you have been a wonderful asset to this discussion and I for one would like you to keep posting. I think people are just having a hard time getting round some ideas, lets lay out some things we've learnt.... 1. Blow...

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

Just......about......keeping up...... :684: Okay, so how does this change when twincharging with: 2xturbochargers, into. 2xsupercharges! :tongue2: So each half of the V gets it's own turbo and supercharger, heck even their own plenum intake (with the exception of a balancer bar because I...

    Pininfarina P4/P5 Competition

Definitely, and I do respect people who actually use cars like these and not just nanny them..... If I ever got rich and owned something insanely exoctic, I'd still use it for what it was designed for originally.... I like the fact that somebody approached him with an idea, one that wasn't...

    Pininfarina P4/P5 Competition

Don't get me wrong, I seriously respect the work that went into that and the balls to rebody an Enzo no less FFS but, am I the only one then that doesn't really like it? I really don't want to disrespect someones work, but at the same time we have our opinions and, its just not really for me...

    Intro: New to Lextreme

This might sound strange but thats the first SC I have seen in red (I guess they are quite rare in the UK) and it looks good! Welcome!

    1990-1994 Vs. 1995-1997 (LS400)

Lol dude, we all know that, thats why this forum exists ;) Lex, Drifty and Smithers were discussing the late model one briefly which is why they were talking about it being (or maybe not) weaker. No one doubts the early can take between 400-600bhp no sweat. :)

    1990-1994 Vs. 1995-1997 (LS400)

Yes but we also know in the later model 1UZ's that the rods were a lot thinner like the 2UZ and 3UZ and so will probably break just as easily.

Update on Paul Carey UZFE powered Drag Car

Holy crap, you cracked a block, an iron block? :Eyecrazy: Sorry to hear that dude, hope things pick up okay and it all works out. :ouch: Glad to hear the crank survived and is liked.... has anyone broken a crank yet? :tongue2:

    V12 from uzfe

I think the sort of engine build I am after is going to be out of my budget eventually anyway.... I'll just have to do it piece by piece :) At the end of the day a hard built 1UZFE will probably end up the same or near a hard built Jag/BMW M70 V12. But in all honesty with a V12 engine I would...

    V12 from uzfe

Exactly. So just how strong are the standard m70's and Jag V12's? Are their any ideas of what can be got out of stock engines (ignoring restrictions), for example it sounds like a stock unopened 1UZ can take around 400-500BHP (through whatever means like FI). Really can get Jag V12's really...

heh, but whats the probability that they used the same crank, rods, pistons etc etc :P

    V12 from uzfe

Superlight tubular space frame chassis? You read my mind ;) Anaema! Thanks for the link dude, turns out I did some research and had alreaady come across that site! But I read it in more detail this time, very fascinating.....those Jag V12's can be had for *CHEAP* and then you can go to 8, even...

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

Okay I am being an idiot, I'm not looking for what I think is the simple answer you are giving which is simply that compressing a gas (air) is always going to take some work..... simple science, of course. So this is why the screw will sap more power than a roots in light throttle applications...
  18. L

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

Ah yes of course because with the TC we can just wastegate the exhaust around it to limit it's input whereas with the SC you can't exactly do the same (I guess clutching it would be the only way but I guess not a good plan?). Sorry for all the questions dude but now you are here..... :D So the...

    Supercharging AND Turbocharging

Okay so you are saying roots instead of screw? I thought the two were essentially the same except one (the screw) does actually *compress* the air and the other only essentially passes it from one place to the other quicker then the engine can take it. Surely you are still machanically loaded...

    V12 from uzfe

Yeah, thats the problem with the Toyota V12 it seems, to quote a phrase "rare as rocking horse ****". Being a little lazy here, are there any sites that have great info on the Jaguar V12?
