    anyone using Autronic

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe on the 1UZ the current Autronic can do 4 ignitor outputs? That seems fine to me. Does need an external wideband interface though.

Cost to build a 500hp FI engine

So that motor was completely unopened? ie no new head gaskets or anything? What kind of fuel were they running? How did they stop detonation. I was thinking about this more.. those short course drag boats see probably 3-5 minutes on boost per meet. There are like 10 meets in a season. Add...

    I need help!

If the cam belt jumped a tooth, apparently it CAN cause a valve and piston to touch. Don't ask me how, I don't know.

Cost to build a 500hp FI engine

Rod, I just don't think you will need 20psi on a stock motor to hit 350rwkw, which is about my goal. There are 2.5 and 3 litre 1j and 2j motors hitting 325rwkw at a hair above and a hair below 20 respectively. With our extra displacement, I'm hoping for 16 to 18. I don't see why forged...

Cost to build a 500hp FI engine

There are stock 1UZs + copper gasket in boats pushing over 600hp, running WOT and lasting a whole season. I think with the level of built motor you are talking about (add rods), a lot more than 500hp is possible. I would think that motor would be good to high 20s psi at least. I don't think...

Realistic performance goals for light build-up of 1UZFE

300 at the wheels? I'd plan on head work.

    Twin intercooled M112 Eaton 1UZ-FE

Make sure not to use an acidic degreaser on an intercooler. Use a petroleum based only. I think some places bathe them in kerosene and phenol or something. Best to ask a radiator shop?

    I need help!

You probably lost the coolant originally due to cracks in the radiator end tanks, I would think? It's a common problem. I'd be looking at a second hand motor, a reco radiator and some new hoses.

    Twin intercooled M112 Eaton 1UZ-FE

Bloody hell that would make life easier. I suppose you can just loop the winch over a tree branch and have it hoist its own motor out for you too.

    Twin intercooled M112 Eaton 1UZ-FE

Pete, will you be running a hire service on the bluetack? I have a few jobs I need to get done! Heh heh, I know the feeling. Gradually building up more tools. Next stop, super high lift jack and weld up some 2 foot cubes to put under each wheel.

My Transmission has complete loss of power!

Sounds like you've lost some of the clutches or something? I'd say look around the junk yards...

    Sniper's Single Turbo Header

What material? If mild, how are you going to support the turbo? Mild gets saggy when really hot... where is the exhaust going to be routed?

    Possible solution to 1uz-speed issues.

Why don't you ask Harry on ALSC, who has decompiled the code in the ECU, if the gear maps are any different? I believe they aren't. I'm just going to tell mine the shifter is permanently in "1". Apart from that, when I get boost I'm going to hand control over to an Autronic SMC anyway. Why leave...

    LPG and Turbo

FAT did a supercharged LPG Soarer. They used no intercooler, methanol injection, stock compression, twin Gas Research 510 or 480 carbs (not sure), 15psi. Also heavy valve springs and custom cams I think. And a motec.

    Twin Turbo SC430 605 rwhp @ 15 psi

Yeah.. I always would have figured that stuff that close to the belt, power steering etc wouldn't be fantastic for it.

    Twin Turbo SC430 605 rwhp @ 15 psi

Hot side right in front of the serpentine belt and accessories... I never would have thought that would work.. Oh well, if it works it works!

Can one of you guys give us a look at a UZZ32 crank pulley?

    Working on the 1UZFE

Nothing breaks or anything like that, there are just quite a few cramped areas. Not too bad though - every car has it's pita bolts.
