    Overheating

I don't know.. Ethan Banks ran a stock radiator in his 980+rwhp SC300 and told me it didn't overheat. If the LS has a similarly sized radiator, I would look at other things being the problem. Airflow blockages, new fans not doing the same job the old one did etc.

Suspension- Control arms- front and reat- upper and lower

Just saw this thread on ClubLexus, looks like they may actually sell an OEM bush for the LCAs??? http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144793

    How Supercharger Work

    That's a Whipple 2.3 isn't it?

You can't modify the RPM signal the engine sees. It will stop metering fuel correctly, sparks will happen at the wrong time etc etc...

Suspension- Control arms- front and reat- upper and lower

I did the front Lower Control Arm bushes with Vlamos ones. My ride is still pretty harsh. I dunno, could be the shocks too. I'm not putting any more money into it. Those 4 bushes and fitting was expensive enough without much perceivable benefit to me. I'm sure it could be fixed with all new...

    Whipple Supercharger Rating

Apparently Whipple buys the Lysholm, Kenne Bell buys the Autorotor. Autorotor are supposedly a larger company, and a subsidiary of Opcon. They licence the basic technology from Lysholm. Then recently either Autorotor or Opcon itself bought out Lysholm. I have seen an Australian price for the...

    Whipple Supercharger Rating

Probably about the same potential as the M90. The 2300 is only USD250 more though, and should be good for 550-600rwhp. Plus the smaller unit will have the problem of having to run at redline for low boost.. this would drop reliability and may make the pulley choice hard. The FAT LPG car...

Max, the linearity is a problem. You need very very fine resolution for this thing at each extreme, and the extremes are a long long long way apart. As noted above, at idle, the ECU is extremely sensitive to even a 1Hz difference. The output of the MAP is going to be bouncing around all over...

    electric turbo/supercharger??

One thing on this subject that did raise a thought... There are a few electric cars around now. I saw an article in the IEEE magazine a few weeks ago. It was made by Japanese college students. The car had 8 wheels, each with an 80hp motor. The car could do over 200mph. What intrigued me was...

The resolution isn't linear though... there are quite a few little tricks in there.. plus in transient throttle situations you need to filter spikes and waves out of the MAP signal etc.

The 2.3L is the one I am looking at. Kenne Bell says the Autorotor 2.2 pushes the same amount of air with 8-9% less consumed power. The Autorotor also has bigger bearings and shafts, more lobes per shaft, and a bunch of other good stuff. It also has a bigger price tag. I believe the Whipple 2.3...

    fabricating for supercharger

edz, I have thought about this too.. I think the injector mounts would need to be machined after casting as well. Jordy, any thoughts? Would you be willing to go down this road?

    Amp limits for wire

Yeah that sounds right. I wouldn't be surprised if it spikes a couple of times that for a few milliseconds right at the start. If you put a normal 350 CCA battery in, it has trouble turning the motor over with the lights on.

Yeah he said that's where he got it, but with no injector mounts and a few other things..

    Karmen Vortex Elemination....

Making one for a given car should be pretty simple. Eg I could plug in a MAP, and datalog it for a while with the output of the AFM and the RPM. Then a bit of analysis, make a lookup table, and your done. Making it flexible for cars with dissimilar engines (ie turbos and stuff) would be a...

USD650. Ouch! The list of connections gives the hints on what it is using to generate the signal.

    Amp limits for wire

I see. I believe 0 is considered good for 200 amps, but I figure just hit it with 00 or 2 runs of 1 or 0 to be sure of as little voltage drop as possible. Who knows how much the starter draws while cranking.. I'd hate to lose more voltage than is necessary...

    Karmen Vortex Elemination....

I've looked at this in the past, and there is a fair bit more to it than just "map voltage is proportional to MAF frequency". Busy at the moment, but I'll try and write a quick explanation later or at work tomorrow edit: OK I got some time. I was looking at this for a buddy on a little...
