Isn't it somewhat of a catch 22? The sleeve is only 2mm thick to start. Then to go 20 over one has to remove .5mm. So the sleeve is down to 1.5mm. 25% loss on the sleeve for stronger pistons.:confused: I'm kind of paranoid about cracked sleeves after boring.. Any more input? KC

Alright, stupid question. Bought a set of Ross 99733 pistons. 8.5 compression and a diameter of 3.465 versus the stock piston which is 3.446 I think. Is it ok to bore the block to make these pistons fit??? KC

Thanks Red. The year on the plug wires MIGHT be helpful as well. An engine with 93 (just to be safe) wires on it is likely a 94 or earlier. An engine with 94 or newer wires may or may not be a 94 or earlier..... KC
