    Since a fan shroud is for pulling air across the entire radiator, not having one will take that away. You will only get cooling in the spot of the fan. The fan creates low pressure behind the radiator and the shroud gets all of it.

    That is a good thing. Although some people are turned off by the tighter emission monitoring, it makes figuring out EFI problems much easier with the required serial data.

    I think it sucks. It has the size and weight disadvantage of an inline, with the displacement of a Honda. Lots of boost and only 200 hp.

    For the question of 2 bolt and 4 bolt, diesel engines are always built much stronger than the gas counterpoints. With the exception of that hunk of poo that GM converted. The extreme cylinder pressures dictate that they must be stronger.

    You are not going to lose low end, you will gain. Unless the tuning of the cam is wrong.
