So it seems that some of the newer motors ditched a tach signal. So now what?
Anyone ever tried one of these?

I am wondering about the tach signal from this motor. I have it in my 91 landcruiser and I get nothing. The signal could be the same as any other vvti 1uz or 3uz.
What have you guys to get this working?
And the finished product

Shorty headers with true dual 2 1/2" mandrel exhaust. Two cats which then lead to an X-pipe then to dual 44 series flowmaster.
No tailpipe yet so it will mellow out a little.
Picked up a 91 FJ80 last night with a broken motor. Turns out the crankshaft broke between #1 and #2.
I decided to drop in the 2UZFE VVTi v8 motor and keeping the stock auto.
Lets just say, the 3F motor is one of the harder engines to pull. I would hate to put this heavy hunk of iron back...
Well, found out you need to disconnect the cold start injector. Was flooding my engine and making it super hard to start.
Got about 100 miles on the setup and getting everything all dialed in.
I have always hated the stock redline and stock shiftpoints, which now I control. I now have an...
So I finally got around to putting the AEM back in the car.
I got the thing running pretty good so far, but I am noticing that if the battery doesn't have a full charge, I do not get a cam and crank signal, and the car won't start. Not sure how I am going to get around this as it will leave me...
Just have to find the right combo where a 1/2" aluminum adapter puts the input shaft exactly where it needs to be. A custom clutch is pretty easy to get.
I know this should probably be in the wanted section, but I need a bit more exposure.
I need BELLHOUSINGS. 1uz bellhousings. There are a few different types out there and I can really only use the ones that have a solid engine flange. Some of them have been molded with groves cut out of the...
I think the viper input shaft is one of the shorter ones. You might need camaro T56 with a mustang bellhousing, then you just need an adapter.
If someone can find out which combo works best, I can get an adapter made pretty quick.
