Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

what I am excited for is a top entry intake. I want to find a throttle body with 3 butterfly valves so it is low profile and wide. Or if some one of those blower hats with the 3 valves are strong enough for 20 in/HG.

    Finally Flywheel info

they are enlarged in one direction since the bolt pattern in a slightly larger diameter, but the shoulder bolt fills up the entire hole with the exception of a very small sliver toward the inside. If I could find a slightly larger shoulder bolt maybe .25mm larger, it would be perfect. They are...

    The Engine blows finally!!!

Man I am sooo good. :D yeah, as cribbj said, there are two and they can seize up burning up the belt really quick. This is how I got my whole car for $500. They said the motor was bad and I said....doubt it. Glad to here it will be back on the road soon. And replace BOTH pulleys...

Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

I will get back to you on that M90 snout. So I got the SC running, but not with a mounted TB yet. Just had a little small TB I had laying around, and set it on top of a plate I had over the inlet. So far soo good. I did however manage to ruin my IC core. I had one small leak to fix and...

shops, 1uz manual bellhousing and flywheel

Monster Performance is my site.(don't do much with it) The bellhousings are not cast as of yet, they are welded together and I have yet to have any issues. The flywheel is a modified 3VZE flywheel

    Finally Flywheel info

so what do you guys think about an off-set bore on the 5VZE flywheel. It doesn't drill new holes, they just get enlarged in one direction to fit a 3SGTE shoulder bolt. Then a little is machined off the back to get the proper depth. ring gear does not have to be changed.

yeah, pretty much any AEM could control it. The dual VVTI, might have to get the series 2 AEM.

    The Engine blows finally!!!

I am going to take a stab at it and say the timing belt broke or one of the idler pulleys seized up. But if you decide to part it out, I would be interested in the LSD :D

    thinking out load..112 manifold

you won't have a problem with the brake booster. Your diff lock on the other hand, you can always just install a vacuum canister.

    tiggy weldy

got a 250 amp welder. Welds 1/2" plate pretty good. I set it to asbout 210amp because I don't want to burn down my house by igniting my wiring. At 210, my house wiring gets pretty warm.

    thinking out load..112 manifold

the problem with getting rid of the lower runners is warping. I had to re-do my flanges due to excessive warping. Warping presents a HUGE problem with a V setup. First you have front to back on each side, then you have up-down on each side, then you have the distance between left and right...

Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

Top plate is 10" wide, but I don't know the rest of the dimensions off the top of my head. I might be in the area today, if so I will stop by my shop and get some measurements. I didn't quite get it running over the weekend, but I did relocate the water pipe and I spent several hours...

Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

Well, motor has been overheated severely twice and it has almost 180,000 miles on it. What I want to do is see what I can get out of this thing before it pops. My main concern is the head gaskets with stock bolts, and with the overheating they may fail much earlier than a more fresh stock...

Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

fixed, but easily replaced with some adjustable ones. For video, depends on the machine shop and when they get my flywheels done. Got 5 sitting over there just waiting to be machined. I will however try to get it fully running with a temporary top mounted throttle body and get some vid of...

Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

The idler pulley on the right is a 2J timing bolt tensioner. I welded 1" aluminum rod to the cam sensor bracket, although I am not sure how I like this yet as it causes the whole bracket to move a little and I am concerned about the rotor possibly hitting the cap. I will try tighting it a...

LOWER COMPRESSION? NO WAY!!!!! I will probably run this M112 with the smallest pulley, and a 100 single shot. I also run on E85.(I also have 50gallons of E98). Here are the latest progress pics. I finished up the intercooler. Was a bit of a pita, and I should have done the fittings...

    M112

Going to try to fire this thing up today. Still waiting for my flywheel, so won't be drivable for a couple weeks other addons are water/air IC. 440cc injectors, AEM EMS, E85 and lots of timing Also going to go pick up a LS400 fan bracket in about 20 min, so I can get rid of the hydro fan.

Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

So my original project was an intercooled M90. I made a custom intake with custom runners and a top outlet M90 out of an intercooled ford thunderbird. I made a custom water/air box which mounted to the top of the intercooler, then down into the intake manifold. Lets just say I was very...
