Should I supercharge my 1uz 4runner if I am going to sell?

Although valid points, none of them really applied to my situation, so...... Took me about 5 hours start to finish. Thing HAULS BUTT!!! Unfortunatly the repaired radiator did not hold. Time to go slap some people around that are full-o-crap. Anybody know how to fix the tubes on an...

Should I supercharge my 1uz 4runner if I am going to sell?

It won't cost me a dime to put the supercharger on it, I already have all the parts. I guess what I could do, is list my supercharger parts in the for sale section. Question is, who would pay say $1000 for a manifold and M112 with modded water pipe and cam sensor/idler pulley bracket that...

Should I supercharge my 1uz 4runner if I am going to sell?

Nah, would never sell the supercharger seperatly. If it doesn't go on the 4runner, it will go on the SC400 which will eventually get sold anyway, and I currently have enough materials to make 3 supercharger setups, and I have 2 M112 superchargers. What I would be really putting into this is...

Should I supercharge my 1uz 4runner if I am going to sell?

So I am in the completion stages of my 1UZ'd 1987 4runner, as in I drove it a few miles yesterday. I already have a supercharger setup from my SC400 that I can bolt up, would just require swapping a few of the parts over, adding an injector resistor and 440cc injectors. Unfortunatly, I am...

Anybody done an IFS toyota UZ swap?

Got any picutes of the mounting and how close the exhaust comes to the suspension? Oh, was it 4x4, or 2x4. I have done it in a 2x4 motorhome, but it seems the 4x4 might have a little more meat around the IFS.

Anybody done an IFS toyota UZ swap?

I am about ready to throw in one of my 1UZ's into an 89 4runner, but it is really tight with the IFS. Before I start chopping for the SAS, has anyone been able to fit a UZ motor in with the IFS still attached?

Do not use the copper gaskets. Installed one on a 7M last year and it blew on startup. WHen taking it off you could tell that the gasket did not compress evenly reguardless of going through a 4 stage torque process for the head bolts.

Project Thread Supercharged 5 speed SC400 - 2nd go with bigger goals

none so far. Lots of family vacations lately, and looking to finish up and get rid of a few other projects before I continue with the SC. Got 2 MR2's that needed rebuilds(finished), and two turbo celica's, that need rebuilds as well. I will see if I can find the box the pulley came in.

not sure what your HP goals are, but I maxed out my A1000 on E70 at around 20psi(550rwhp-600rwhp), then I switched to a larger Weldon pump. Nice looking chambers.

    stock exhaust manifold potential

so what are you guys using for collector flanges. I have the mustang flange that is a ball-socket type with springs which gives some flex to the piping, or do you think a 3 bolt flange work better(harder to access)

    stock exhaust manifold potential

I tried that too, didn't work so well. Then I bought some mustang headers, and those didn't work out well either, just ended up cutting out all the bends and making one from scratch. Plus, the SSautochrom are only 1 1/2" primaries. Too small for forced induction. The mustang headers I...

I say you are better off getting new pipe. Just haven't had good luck trying to used old pipe.

Ok, just making sure. Combustion chamber or pistons is the correct way to lower compression. Personally I am a fan of high comp, like 10:1 and higher. As far as those 8,000hp machines, I think at that point other laws apply, but I don't know anything about that.

What is the thickness of the stock head gasket. You DO NOT want to run a thicker head gasket than stock, that is a bad idea. There is a reason why the HG is a certain thickness. Changing this will change much of the thermal dynamics of the chamber and can actually increase the chances of...

I had a very similar problem with mine and it turned out to be the manifold to head One one side it was not flush all the way to the head, even though it appeared to be. A pressure test revealed how bad it was actually leaking. I ended up making my own double thick paper gasket. The stuff...

Seriously, pressurize your intake, you would be surprised what you might find. Question, if you put your hand over the TB, does it die, or stay running? Air has got to be coming from somewhere, if not the TB, then WHERE?

pressureize your intake, that is how I find all my leaks. You may or may not get a little leak through the valves, but you can rotate until it is minimal and you can find your intake leaks. Worked on mine and found out my custom manifold was not sealing against the head due to the many axis...
