    miss Problem

    Check the alignment of the timing belt pulley marks, and don't go off of the serpentine crankshaft pulley,remove that pulley and use the cogged crank pulley. It physically can't go wrong.

    First thing that popped into my head is green coolant temp sensor, disconnecting the afm puts it into open loop, a bad coolant temp sensor could be demanding much more or less fuel than needed and making it run like crap while not necessarily giving you a fault code

    Very normal, charge voltage is dependant on the load demanded from the alternator. To replenish after the starter load draw it charges higher rate then tapers off as the battery is charged

Biggest thing though is there's some misinformation out there about the Toyota logic coils and running 2.5-3ms dwell time, that much was actually blowing my MS3pro internal fuse under load, dropped it down to 1.8-2.0ms and it doesn't blow the fuse...

    What's your plug gap at? Champion copper #rc12yc gapped to 0.028" and you shouldn't have a problem to 20psi+

    Which Coils to Use

    2uz coils will fit under stock covers if you cut off the mounting ear, remove the rubber grommet, sand down the little locating nub under where the rubber grommet sits. Then grind down the reinforcing ribs on the underside of the stock plug wire covers

    Good work! If you still have cooling issues I'd switch that radiator to a single pass configuration, ie flows into one tank and out the other tank. One thing I've really learned about these engines is the cooling systems need flow volume to efficiently cool otherwise the coolant heats up too...

    Can you describe what the difference was? Does the JZ crank have a larger or smaller diameter crank end where the pulley goes on? Maybe a picture would help I guess, it looks like you've created a sleeve that enlarges the diameter of the 1uz crank to what the JZ is and created an inner key way...
