V8 Turbocharging to gain 100 horsepower

Do it John. It should be an interesting project. :D I think stock internals can handle 9 psi if you have good tuning with upgraded fuel system.

    Supercharged LS7 with 6 Speed

Since most aftermarket parts aren't insured, unless your friend paid for those parts to be insured specifically, the insurance comp can't keep what it doesn't cover. So your friend can take off the supercharger ($6K right there) and counter for $4K on the engine and tranny.

PPI car stereo is one of the bests out there. A stereo system in a SUV surely sounds better than in our SC.

Need better shifting on my 1992 sc400

He's the guy who built my valvebody and put a shift kit in it. I don't think he converts 5 to 4 speed. Do you want his info?

Need better shifting on my 1992 sc400

I mean Lextreme can rebuild the torque converter into a high stall speed one. He doesn't do the accumulators. lol.

Need better shifting on my 1992 sc400

The first and official mod is to put in a high stall torque converter. You can start with 2800 RPM one. This will shift much better than stock. After that mod, if you still need a firmer (more jerky) shifting, you can try to play with the accumulator and such. Lextreme can do this for you...

If you'd like VVTI, then why don't you get a complete VVTI and build it up? That'll be much easier, safer and cheaper.

    serious help guys

I'd prefer to stay with non-VVTI for simplicity. I don't think a VVTI heads will work on non-VVTI bottom unless you'll pay a good amount of money to have a custom set of pistons that'll clear the valves and work properly. Then there won't be much left for rods, M112 SC setup, injectors, other...

John is right on. 10K isn't that much to build a powerful NA motor. But 10K is enough for a good turbo system with rebuilt internals.

Swapping VVTI heads to non VVTI block sounds nice, but I haven't seen anyone successfully done it. I'd rather stay with non-VVTI altogther, or all VVTI together. You can port non-VVTI heads to make the flow better. There's too much trouble by swapping from different heads to different block.

    Gforce performance chip

If you have a dyno machine, then you can put that Gforce on and monitor the power before and after the Gforce. Also, you can check for the A/F ratio to make sure the car is still running right. Other than that, don't take risk. It's too good to be true. I checked on their website and under...

    Engine Performance

It's amazing how this engine can handle, but the key is how long it'll hold without strenghtening the internals. :D

    Intro and proposal

Yep. Supercharging is the best economical setup within that range. For up to 8 psi, it's not necessary for a tune-up. Tuning it will make a little more power and run better, but you're looking for another $500 - $1K. Turbocharging it will start somewhere from $3K and up.

Seller Feedback Quantum-Auto.com (Jake Breyck) No customer service to be found

I'm not sure about your state law, but in Ca, if you have bad transaction for less than $5000 with a business, all you can do is to bring them to small claim court. Even if you win the case, it's not easy to take the money back. There're ways to take the money back, but it'll take times and...
