im also removing the power steering, so all im gonna have is the crank pulley and alternator, cheers for the advice, i guess il just make my own, cheers
i suppose i can fabricate my own, but time is something thats very tight atm, im fabricating a new inlet manifold and new exahust manifolds as well as a new tranny tunnel ( 1uzfe and 350z box in a widebody starion)
my plates full and adding more could seriously harm my mojo
Im deleting all the ancillaries from my engine except from the alternator ( obviously) now ive found that Thor do a kit for this.
BUT tbh for what you get its a bit of a fooking ripoff £228 for a machined bracket and a pulley is taking the piss !
does anywhere else do anything like this >...
well the only bits you need if its going in a v8 soarer is the box, shifter and prop.
the rest is unused in most of the v8 conversions. keep the slave cylinder and stuff though. I think the bellhousings you can buy from ebay.com use the r154 slave instead of a concentric bearing
its the same amount of work as pretty much any other gearbox conversion.
I thought about doing this, but instead im going with the 350z conversion, same price for the gearbox, but an extra gear ;)
yeah i finished it, but i only ran it for a few minutes as the fuel return never got finished and bodged it shut. it made some nice noises as well as a serious power increase.
Had to sell it due to getting a job 400 miles from home and no place to store the car.
Im thinking about doing it...
Ive transplanted a 1uzfe with 350z 6 speed into an 89 starion widebody.
But to getthe engine where i REALLY want it i need to remove one of the tabs that is used to bolt the rocker cover to the head, as it fouls on the steering box.
Would this adveresely affect the sealing, i was going to...
