This may help to visualise for you. You can see the slip sensor facing you right in the middle. Superheat switch right on the end. the one we had had the long comp mount on the rear,this customer wanted to fit the ls short mount,obviuosly it wasnt going to be a straight swap...

Just had a look at my spare motor which is a celsior motor,there is only one mount on the motor for the rear bolt so possibly the the fan mount/hydrolic pump that goes on the front is differnt legths between the two models.

No,the rear ear mount actually sticks out further so in affect the compressor is longer.Im not sure if there is another bolt hole there as ive never fitted one. I just had a customer come in one day that had a sc and wanted to fit a second hand ls comp and it was different in the ways ive said.

From memory some of the soarers have a longer rear mount.Wiring is different as the ls have a superheat switch and the sc have a slip sensor. Saying that they should both bolt straight up.

Supra ones are 25mm shorter in core height but mounts look very similar.Obviously the supra one has a filler neck for a pressure cap and ls400 dont.

I would say so yes,if your talking about a header tank that has the pressure cap on it.If your talking about a overflow tank then no. The header tank is usually higher so as any air is bleed to the top of it but you may be getting air in your rad if its lower.

Slighty OT,but when doing that programe is the max power and rpm etc is that before mods(stock standard engine)or what you hope to acheive??.

Yeah im sure it came off my supra box.Does the MA 70 have a cable drive speedo?The crowns seam to be a bit agricultural in they way they are designed so i wouldnt be suprised if thats what it came from.

How did i end up with that?My original engine was a crown but i never had a auto for it.Ive only got a celsior auto and supra mk III(i was told)r154 cog swapper.Might have to check a few things i think.

yep sure is,but it probably will have a lexus price tag so take your cheque book.Should cost around the $200- $250 mark for the service and tank etc,thats would i would charge someone anyway.

Easy as mate,pull out rad and send to a radiator shop and get a service done.New oring and top tank if the fitting is at all discoloured,most likey find its bubbling on the inside. Unless the finning is going or its got alot of internal corrosion theres no reason it wont see another day.

Sorry,i didnt ask vdo about pulse per etc just what sensor i should be using.I did ask on other forums if i could use toyotas sensor but no real headway on that question. Can the speedo infinatly count revs to a certain speed?In extreme case say it had one pulse per rev,could it just keep...

Cobber,lets us know how you go,when looking at the VDO book there sender for the gauge is a 8 pulse per rev.The one i was recommended by vdo help line was a 340.808.I just hope there is enough adjustability in the speedo,but no one could tell me.
