after making my intake like that i still had a little bit of massaging to do on the cover the ol "heat and beat" did the trick though... and there is a seat belt mount bolt which i had to cut down but because it relies on sharing load it doesnt matter.... glad i could help :P
hey guys...
so my conversion is complete with shiney new cert plate and wof sticker :D i just wondered what the best diff ratio is to run behind the 4spd auto is because when im on the highway it feels like i need another gear (like its in 3rd not od) from what i can work out i have a 4.1:1...
i wonder if he checked battery voltage when it dies? if the alt is buggered it will run for a bit while the battery runs the fuel pump then will die too.... just another idea anyway :D
so just incase anyone doing a conversion has the same stupid thought i did....
what was causing my fault code 31 is..... get ready for it..... the pipe to the iac vavle (stepper motor)..... because this was before the butterfly on the throttle body i thought i could just put a little filter...
Hey that would be awsome Kelvin, a member has offered to let me try his afm so will give it one more shot and see how i get on...
sideshow: i tested the wires as per your post 2 browns earthed fine, red/blue was 4.8v but air temp sig was around 4.5v which is higher? any thoughts???
thanks...
okay so ive had 3 different afm's on my motor and its still throwing the same codes.... so have i got 3 duds or is there anything else that throws a 31 code? this is doing my head in now.... or is there any upgrade or any other afm's that u can run on these motors like a z32 or the like?
well tested both afm's and both are fuked.... according to the tutorial i watched anyway... tried piping the afm away from the throttle body and still the same.... on a positive note i finished my exhaust and it sounds amazing!! heres the link for the tutorial...
all i said is that ive heard of it being done because rear sump motors are getting harder to find....and those that have them will rip you off blindly for them.... there is definantly more than one way to skin a cat :D
