    okay... so i got a new tps :) the issue i have is that i cant adjust it in the vehicle when its running.... so i used the steps in here http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/EFI/tps.html with the multi meter... but i cant get it perfect as per instructions... if i just get it with no resistance then...

    thanks samsdad :D i was messing around with radiator hoses and my thermo switch housing over the weekend could i have knocked/upset something on the front of the motor that would also throw a 41 code?

    oh its a converted vehicle with the wiring done by gloverman about 18 months ago and has run fine till today i think the motor is around a 94 and had log headers when i got it... cheers

    nice!!! it sucks when its so simple yet takes so long to find.... had a similar issue with my conversion last weekend... went over and over all the hard stuff and turned out to be the simplest thing.....

    yeah... turned out to be the throttle body... main return spring had lost tension so shortend up the spring and she's all sorted....

    just another thing to look at... if the idle air control valve is plumbed incorrectly it will give you a afm fault code and the motor will fire for a few moments then die.. also running it in a super rich state (fouling plugs) etc it has to be plumbed after the afm and before the butterfly...

    have you got the pipe from the idle stepper motor (in front of the intake manifold) piped in after the air flow meter? i thought i could just use a little air filter on it but it has to draw air past the afm at idle...
