Would that even be an issue (machined pistons)? I dont see how it could effect power so much where it would be even mentioned. I am looking at this as a reliable 4.7L swap that could take some boost. Now the question is... Are you using a 1uz crank or the 2uz crank?

One spacer went on each side of the flex plate. Thanks for the reply about the pistons. I i can see the sharp edges affecting it negatively, but I think boost can make up for it if anything. This mod makes it great for boost with the CR.

Would clogged cats be affected when MAF is unplugged?

Are you the first to do the modified piston tops for this 1uz/2uz hybrid? How confident are you on it? Looks like a great cheap solution to aftermarket pistons.

Still in need of help. Basically... MAF Unplugged makes the car run great (but probably less than what it should be). When its plugged in the car feels OK until it warms up slightly. Then the car bogs... feels like it under powered with a flat torque curve. This is what I have done so far to...

lol I have been running mine for awhile... Its a lot stronger than you think... There is no way its going to break on you.

The adapter plate has proven to work. Drove the SC400 home yesterday :)

I dont understand the difference between the SC400 with a W58 and a 4 puck DF clutch vs and SC300 with a W58 (NA-T) with a 4 puck clutch... All in how you drive. The clutch should be pretty decent in shock absorbing since it is sprung, unlike Jake's which is a solid hub clutch.... hes been...
