    Stainless Header Flanges

I bought these stainless header flanges sight unseen from someone in another state. I was disappointed when they arrived, as they are cut from 8mm plate, with only 6mm of material around the ports. I don't think they are suitable for the turbo manifolds I am making, so I am looking for some...

    Bullet Cams

Cast cam blanks can correctly be referred to as billets. As an example, here is the first hit I got from google on the subject: http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/cam_corner.html With regards to cast and billet cranks, I agree that there is a generally accepted distinction between those...

Hydraulic Fan Pump - Redeployment for PS

The chap from Toymods no longer has the pictures that were in his thread. He did offer further explanation though: "basically its the hole at the bottom of the thread where the banjo fitting outlet bolts on that needs to be made smaller about 3mm instead of 6mm or so that it is you CANT make...

Hydraulic Fan Pump - Redeployment for PS

No problem, I'll pass them on as soon as I get them. Which pulley and bearing do you mean, the top idler? I seem to remember someone posting instructions on how to reverse the internal spring mechanism so it works in the opposite direction. This would suit a belt run with no PS pump. The fan...

    Reverse Alternator Mount

Good work David! There will be plenty of room for my manifolds and dump pipe with the alternator flipped and the hydraulic fan pump running the power steering.

    Compound Turbo

It connects to the crankshaft to convert energy from the exhaust gas into useable power. The schematic is of a completely different setup to the previous photos. Turbocompound vs compounding turbos.

Hydraulic Fan Pump - Redeployment for PS

I haven't done anything with the pump yet, but I am about to install my turbo so I will be looking to make some room in the engine bay. There is a thread on Toymods describing how to modify the valve in the fan pump.

    1UZ TT Turbo Pulsating

Compressor bypass valves open when vacuum is present in the intake manifold. BOVs require an amount of pressure to be present in the intake piping AS WELL as vacuum in the intake manifold, to open. When I googled 'compressor bypass valve' the first result was...

    1UZ TT Turbo Pulsating

If the preload of the wastegate spring has been changed, it will increase the likelihood of one turbo blowing back through the other. Was the wastegate pushrod shortened by EXACTLY the distance you moved the actuator by?

    1UZ TT Turbo Pulsating

Justen's advice is spot on, the turbos are not too small. Perhaps you should fit a true compressor bypass valve like an OE Bosch unit (as opposed to a blowoff valve), if the reversion is bothering you. You don't appear to be using an airflow meter, is the reversion actually causing a problem?
