Parts T100 Transfer case and adapter

My "local" junkyard just got in a 4WD 3.4 AT T100. I'm willing to go pull the transfer case and adapter. This would be all the major parts (you might want to replace gaskets, seals, bearing, bolts, and you'll need to make/modify a couple things) to convert the 1UZ A340E to 4WD with the RH front...

    1uzfe 4runner . Need some help with 4 wheel

I don't follow what you're doing. Where are you? I might still have the extension housing from my 1994 A340E.

    87 4Runner 1UZ swap, get comfy

Haven't done any mechanical work on it since my last work. But managed some time on the computer and edited the time lapse videos of the old engine removal and new install.

1988 Cressida 1uz no start no check engine light , no power to m-rel

I really don't like doing swaps like that. I always replicate the donor fuel pump circuit, and keep it in tact so the pump doesn't endlessly run if the engine isn't running. So, I guess find a diagram for the cressida, get out your DMM and start testing. Start at that relay, and that will...

1988 Cressida 1uz no start no check engine light , no power to m-rel

How do you have the fuel pump wired? Cressida wiring? My 94 SC400 - 87 4Runner swap uses the Lexus fuel pump controller, and this does not have any prime function, the pump only runs while cranking. I chased my tail for awhile testing my initial install because of that...

6mm stud extractor socket made quick work of that pickup stud and the pump came off easily. Not ideal to reseal 2 surfaces at 90* to each other at the same time, but I think it'll work alright and saved me a huge amount of work. Timing pulley bearings got wet during the degrease, and no longer...

    87 4Runner 1UZ swap, get comfy

Guess what? This didn't work. The old oring is cut, and with the stud for the pickup still in place, the oil pump doesn't come out enough to get my sausage fingers in there. One of the mechanics at work thinks he has a 6mm stud remover, so I'm going to try to pull that stud and remove the pump...

A glimmer of good news. Got this Tacoma center console trim with dual cupholders....nice. Needs a little gray paint, but no big deal. 2020-08-24_09-42-32 by Numbchux, on Flickr I also plan to use the console from that '03 Tacoma parts truck, which has 2 cupholders of it's own. Drive thrus...

    87 4Runner 1UZ swap, get comfy

I had a few minutes on Saturday to do some wrenching, and I really wanted to put my mind to rest by proving that the oil leak from the front was something minor. Well....no such luck. 2020-08-10_02-53-37 by Numbchux, on Flickr Somehow the oring must have shifted while I was installing the...

    87 4Runner 1UZ swap, get comfy

Yesterday I learned....the stock ECU/Fuel pump controller does not prime (at least, not always). Several times, after leaving the ECU disconnected, the fuel pump would not prime. Turned it over, and it came right on. Bolted down the ignitor, and it fired right up. Didn't take long under full...

    87 4Runner 1UZ swap, get comfy

So, I stripped the wiring down to a standalone engine management harness more than a year ago. Ran it for awhile, then replaced ECU caps and a few other things. And ran it several more times as I modified the transmission, and tested the exhaust coating. Ran great every time. I was tinkering on...

    Low-Mount Supercharger

I don't think you'll get a high-enough-volume roots blower down there. I had an M62 for a previous project, and it was bigger than any modern A/C compressor I've seen, obviously an M90 is bigger still. At the very least, every M90 I've seen has had a long snout on it, that will push the blower...

    87 4Runner 1UZ swap, get comfy

Finished editing some video that I took last week, showing how it all fits in there. Stayed up late last night and got a bunch of work done. Gas tank is back in, gas hard lines are snaked into place, although not fastened at all. I took the transfer case crossmember off again to clearance it...

Finished the transmission cooler lines, I think I'm going to change the RH exhaust manifold to go almost straight down, and cross under the oil pan. There's more room there, and it'll get the heat away from the cooler lines more quickly. I also built my fuel lines this weekend. Going to cross...

    No power to starter

Triple check all your contacts for that circuit. Main battery positive and ground cables, as well as the signal side (through the key and neutral switch). But the fact that it's drawing amperage makes me suspect the solenoid is activating, but the contacts are too dirty for the motor to turn...

    No power to starter

Part of the starter, would be included with a new one. Can be repaired/replaced separately, although I wouldn't do your first on a 1UZ.
