Max, Yes you are on the money. The Aut uses both a mathematical model of an engine and interpolation. The math function isn't really that difficult once you derive the correct formulae (which is the part slightly beyond me at this stage). Using interpolation will get you some of the way there...

You can buy digital speedo corrector boxes as a kit from Jaycar KC5380 $45 which will solve all the problems. Saves screwing around trying to fit different speedo sensors to the box.

There is a problem in that circuit somewhere. Whether it is the solenoid or the connectors or wiring? You won't do any harm not having that solenoid working. You will get harder shifts as a result. The crown uses the A341E and the SC uses the A340.
