Which ECU are you using? The different 1uzfe engines all have different ECU's. Are you using a crown, sc400 or ls400?
You can use the NSW switch on the gearbox to short it out, a blade fuse fits in there nicely.
There has never been and never will be problems with using wasted spark.
I have never heard (and will never hear) a reasonable explanation for not using it. Its very rare that you come across someone who understands what is actually occuring in the cylinder to cause ignition or what is...
Well the CBR (600 i think) COPs aren't quite right but they will do the job. They are a little bit short for the stock cam covers when using a NGK BKR7E-11 plug (which has to have the tip machined down to fit in the COP) by about 4mm but the BP series of plugs has a removable end. If you could...
Yeah I have a few more pics on my home computer, i'll try and post them up tonight. Its a TT going in an EH. It will be registered as an Individually Constructed Vehicle due to the very extensive modifications of um, well the whole car.
I didn't realise the demand was that high for a CDI, M&W...
Hopefully i will have a CDI ready to go soonish (my design/build). The design has been done for a few years now but i haven't built a full commercial unit, just a few custom ones etc. It should come in a fair bit cheaper than anything else on the market. Don't know if you can wait that long though.
Thats not correct turboandrew. To correctly tune and engine you need to keep the engine at a fixed rpm/load for a period of time usually 20-30seconds. This gives the engine time to stabilize so that transient conditions ie accelerating air mass etc aren't effecting your measurements. Hence why...
We have lots of them here at work. I would be very suprised if your local fastener shop didn't have them or couldn't get them. I get most of my titanium metric stuff from both the US and UK no problems.

There is no solvent which you can use to remove the silicon (well there is but it will take away any metal with it)
The best method is a bit of heat and some good scapers/razor blades. Scalpels of various shapes help a lot. Its pretty quick/easy to do once you have the correct heat/tool...
Good luck with the search, hopefully it will turn up something good.
Most COPs setup when used in an inductive ignition system only like around 2ms of dwell. Any more than this will fry nissan COPs etc even with the current limiting that ignitors perform. So make sure the person doing your...
Don't forget to use a good quality twisted and sheilded wires either. It will make a big difference to how your pickups perform.
I use this stuff for most harnesses.
If you need to upgrade injectors then look at the ones on the lextreme parts page.
The flow rate of the injectors has nothing to do with how your idle or emissions will perform. That is a function of ECU control and flow patern/quality of the injector.
7psi is nothing to worry about, the stock...
Well it more torque ie twisting force which kills gearboxes. With your SC giving you a lot more torque than standard you will be killing an auto in no time as well. If you put in the correct gearbox for your use the first time you will save time and money.
Leaving the stock system controlling fuel is asking for big trouble. Not to mention a nightmare to tune for. The stock system stays in closed loop for most of its operation, you will not be able to tune the piggy back sufficiently to take all condition into account.
Simon,
Take some pics of the problems and send them my way.
May be able to make them work for. We have the proper machinery at work to make up correct butterflies. Something i've never seen on aftermarket throttle bodies!
Its exactly the same voltage levels as what the Autronic analyser puts out. Hence why the techedge will work with the autronic ECUs.
There is nothing unstable about it. 500mV is plenty of signal, I wish everything I worked with had voltage levels that high!!!!!!!

Yes,
The Autronic ECU wants to see a 10:1 - 30:1 A/F ratio over a linear 0-1Volt range. (The SM4 can also be configured to use 0 -5 volt input so its a bit easier to use) For the older sm2 and smc ecu's do the following.
1) Set the range of the techedge output to 10:1 - 20:1 A/F ratio over a...
