itb intakes have very direct air flow. single tb intakes with plenums and intake runners cause the air to go in many directions and around corners etc, which reduces flow and therefore power. you can buy 'sock' filters for the trumpets or run a box type air filter over all the filters or...

why would you be able to twin turbo a v12 supra but not a v12 engined sc? arent the bays a similar size? with some work sc's can be made to handle. for example, there is an sc in D1, but no supras..

great effort! its interesting that you get boost so early with such a big turbo. i was surprised that the torque dropped off after 4000rpm or so, and power stayed linear after there right up to almost 7000. i would have thought you'd get more of a rise up to and over 6000ish rpm with that setup...

thats quite a bit for a gearbox, however good it is. i think you'd need some rediculous power figures to justify that much. after getting the gearbox, modifying it, buying a custom flywheel and (presumably) something like a triple plate clutch, you're up around us$4-7000 for a gearbox setup...

nzsimon can you please post a pic of the fibreglass cover you made, cos thats what id like to do on mine. as you all, i only have an alternator running off the motor. i was going to do it out of sheet alloy, but fibreglass might look more like an original panel i think. cheers

im using a Link ecu. the motor had a cut loom with 100 wires on it when i got it, and now it has about a dozen going to it and is much cleaner. aftermarket ecu's are the only way to go for performance/conversions i think.

your car is crazy! how big is the plenum though (volume), as it doesnt look that big. it will be scary when done. awesome.
