Stock bottomend N/A 1UZ- Kelford 207-Es, ITBs, etc etc- What to expect?

I can be corrected.. by my maths.. Separation is 110* with 66* overlap.. Yep will have lopey idle. When power comes on it will be strong. Giving heaps mid range.. I would say when load comes on engine it would pull nice from 1500 rpm. Real power as kelford suggest.. Not 100% acurate as it doesnt...

What is the LSA on those cams ?? One thing these engines do have is rpm and wide power band. In light car its worth another 100 h.p [to a point] compared to pushrod motors.. Yes NZ stock cars have developed these engines for quite some time !!! Good write up Gloverman...

Stock bottomend N/A 1UZ- Kelford 207-Es, ITBs, etc etc- What to expect?

Yep I agree to above..Why spend 1000's to make 100 h.p or so when you fit a turbo and make 100's h.p, do it easy done right !!! Which is mainly TUNE and keep power levels moderate !!

I had my heads CNC . The area where most gain is under valve and through valve guide bowl or pocket area.. If you pull the heads off / apart a simple polish with a flap wheel, cartridge roll will make a difference..There is a forging ridge there which can be smoothed out.. You DON'T need to...

Cast Iron block ?? In a car with this weight ? Just a brush up with a polisher would be enough, mainly between valve seat and guide.. Nice cam and springs would finish it off..On a 1UZ engine.. I would go alloy motor.. If you can get a VVT motor go for it.. Don't know what is available there...

    63 impala (1uz or 2jz?)

Why not a crate 350/ LS engine, T400 and turbo ?? An S475 / 380 Borg Warner budget and works well..

    2uzfe broken exhaust valves scenario

Could be valve float too ?? So many variables ! It's not intitirley the power level .. Must do damage to rest of engine ! How steep are the cam rate lift ? Back to the drawing board, there's some mismatch going on!!

    2uzfe broken exhaust valves scenario

Check if 2JGTE valves fit ?? Valve issues could be in tune ?? Too rich and retarded is safe for engine.. But temps get very high on exhaust side.. Fatter tune at peak torque and drop off AFR's slightly at higher rpm , maybe ?? Maybe better valve springs if std ??
