    I always use a breaker bar, or torque wrench when pulling plugs. Will give you heaps more control, as to avoid cracking the ceramic, especially when old and brittle.     Zen, when the car is cold it will naturally run a richer. Now I assume your running the main O2's. It could be the car is running better in open loop when cold, then once warm switches to closed loop and runs to lean. How is it at WOT once your over 3 grand ? Could also be ecu coolant temp...

    Auto kickdown problem

    Thanks Ric, Jim mentioned the KD switch, and to look at that. I had it wired up, but just wasn't getting a good earth, made a new earth and now all is good. Will pick up 1st gear easily now, made a big difference. Brett
