I am running 1uz stock ecu with manual conversion. Yes you dont need any of the gearbox wiring. I dont understand your post thou, your not very clear. How does the 7mgte come into it with 1uz ecu and wiring harness???

lexustech - yes w58 will fit, they have a w56 standard. You will need manual conversion kit from crs or dellows thou.

Here is what i did with the digi temp gauge i got from sideshow. I removed the dash and set it into it as in the pics. the hole where i drilled through the dash is a little untidy, if i put a gromit over it it would tidy it up a bit.

I personally think its a good idea, it allows the fuel tank to vent into the canister. otherwise put an inline fuel filter on the tank fent pipe or something similar to stop crap getting in there but so it can still breathe

i personally prefer stock ecu unless going turbo or something out of the peramiters of the stock ecu. Reason i like stock is because Toyota put hundreds of hours into perfecting the tune and functions of the ecu. The car will be much smoother and generally nicer to drive.

contact Castlemain Rod Shop. They do complete manual conversion kits to bolt to the original toyota 5 speed with new flywheel, bellhousing, clutch etc. I used a front sump and in my opinion is prob best. I did have to mod the sump slightly

you can buy engine mounts from CRS that will bolt straight to your hilux chassis. You won't be able to do your tail shaft yourself. You will need to get the motor and box in, then take some measurements the your tailshaft repairer will need, he will then make it to suit and balance it for you.

how come you are going custom? Mines cooling fine with the diesel radiator in my hilux. Even with the hella 4000's spotties sitting in front of it

the vl and vn 6 pumps will work fine. I have a 22r-e pump from a corona running my 1uz and its perfectly fine. The reason its the is cause i originally injected the 22r in my hilux using a 22r corona as the donor vehicle. It worked fine with that pump after doing the 1uz swap
