    even Joe admitted it himself :D still good traction wise, had about 18psi off the line, by 100ft its on 30psi, the 8.29 pass was a 1.30 60' had he not hit the limiter it would have been a low 8.2, did a 1.32 on the 8.28 pass. with Joe the previous FTF it was 1.34 60' track is not the best on...

    i'm sure u would agree ash, a good machinist is critical. that's 50% of the build, right there. they have to get your bores, mains (align hone), cylinder heads, rotating assembly etc spot on. also, with alloy blocks it's difficult as they fluctuate so much with temperature.

    a big part of it comes down to the tune. not all tuners are created equally. i have heard alot of guys lifting heads and drilling bigger holes etc, but, if the tune is right that shouldn't be a problem.

    yeah nice C/M shaft will do the trick. there's a guy here in Blacktown makes some good shafts, name has escaped me. ash, nah haven't tried it. stick to the United for the street and try the new drum stuff see how it goes.

    we went 1-thou over on the mains, had no oil pressure. went back to factory was all good. however we didn't have a trick oil pump just the factory.

    good stuff, yeah it's definitely worth converting. extra torque and hp with a cheaper fuel how can u go wrong. better throttle response, car runs cooler, smells better :p

    ok kool, we were looking into the Elf E85, we just deicded to make our own. the bowser E85 is good for driving around on the street only uses about 15L/100km and bracket racing. has been the most consistent of all the fuels of late. the convertor is locking up a little later now, around 7500rpm...

    chev parts in a Toyota? that's almost as bad as putting a Toyota engine in a Ford :p if you can save a few bucks and get the same results, then why not do it. the bigger wrist pin is also a very good option especially for the high rpm/hp/boost guys.

    thanks, hopefully we can get a bit more out of it. before we put the higher comp engine in. car is driven to the track, does around 200km's of driving a week. stock leaf spring suspension on the back, it's pretty much as it rolled off the showroom floor apart from the 9''.
