Does the name of the clutch manufacturer start with C an end in E,or maybe starts with E and ends in Y?

Copper should work,I've seen exhaust manifold and 3-bolt header flange gaskets made of copper. I'd start with copper sheet that's a little thicker than the original gaskets.

AFAIK,sensors etc. are identical on both year engines. Are you installing a 98 engine into a 99 GS400?

AFAIK,the Scranton's previous V8 setup used a 2UZ block with VVTi 1UZ heads wth deletes. If you look at photos of the engine the valve covers looked like the VVTi ones.
