How would you tune my car? What ECU?

The LPG system keeps up better than the petrol when everything is working well. It's sequential vapour injection. LPG cools the air (I believe) and has an octane of over 105ron so the possibilities are endless. Then there's fact it's up to a 3rd of the price of petrol. I'd rather lose 10kw...

How would you tune my car? What ECU?

Probably should add, it's a manual in a donor car. So computer is really only needed to control engine.

How would you tune my car? What ECU?

First of all, $ is a major factor for me, I know I should by the best but I can't. My 1uz has a centrifugal supercharger on it, running blow through MAF and stock ECU. It's runs okay on petrol, but definitely struggles at high revs (avoid.) The tricky bit is I have LPG vapour injection also...

    Liquid LPG injection

It would have been sequential vapour injection like I have. Individual injectors controlled by an ECU.

Will these headders fit a 1UZ??

The outlets on mine had 2.25" OD pipe diameter. I changed mine to 2.25" ID pipe to match the front Y. When you talk about exhaust sizes JB, do people generally refer to the ID or OD? I've made my front Y out of 2.25" ID, thinking I was going 2.25" heh....

Will these headders fit a 1UZ??

Heh that's what we're here for mate. It probably would have been lousy to drive with those big flanges, at least we put doubt in your mind to research it ;) If you want nutso tough sound without the raspy overrun and crackling, I reckon a 3" single system will meet your needs. If you want...

Will these headders fit a 1UZ??

Yeah that's huge. I changed mine just recently to 2.25" because the flange outlet was only 2" if that. Mine is now matched to the 2.25" Y section size.

    OEM 1UZ Hotwire MAF's

This is from a build thread, I had never heard of them before, unless it's the vvti version? I wonder how these maf's would go with blow through boost? Would have to work better then the Karman. Though I guess the cost of the maf and ECU would probably equal a MAP ECU or something....

    Exhaust driven jack

Yeah I guess it would pay to keep it off the hot pipe itself. Hehe it won't worry the engine an an angle: (My last 4Runner with 1UZ, which is now in the new one)

    Exhaust driven jack

They're super tough material, you would have to put it on a real sharp/narrow edge to get through I'd say. Exhaust gas doesn't bother them, they've actually been around 'forever' in the off road circuit. As for out bush, they're designed for changing out busted tyres, I shoulda mentioned that...

    Exhaust driven jack

Now you're entering my domain ;) They're originally a 4WD market item but obviously anyone can use them. They work very well and pretty fast too. Only catch though, I've seen people try and use them when they have a (previously unkown) exhaust leak and it has struggled to build pressure hehe...

Will these headders fit a 1UZ??

Yeah I think (don't own one) that the SC/LS need the pipes to swoop down a lot more. With these types the flanges will probably be sitting in the footwells hehe.... The trouble I had with mine is getting a good seal on the exhaust flanges. They're a 3" 3 bolt size flange with a 2" hole. I ended...

Will these headders fit a 1UZ??

Just search for Tundra headers in ebay US. Make sure they're the early 2000 model ones. There's a heap for near $100

    Threaded stud removal

What happened nut wise? Did the nuts undo first? Do you have a welder? Put a nut on the end and tack it on....? Or even put a nut on the stud leaving some exposed thread, then mash the thread so nut can't come off. Use a breaker bar or something and crack that sucker out!

They look like the same thing, only $100 more.

    ECU from what car?

My engine is a Celsior/LS400 version and the ECU pins look nothing like that ;) I think SC's are rear sump so i'm 'guessing' Crown maybe. Someone will know for sure.

    Compression On Boosted Engine

Bit off topic Steve, but have you got a build thread on your SC? Been looking for it with no luck yet.
