    Wanted WTB: 1UZ Auto Bellhousing

Hi. As far as I know, there are two 1UZ auto belhousings. The tilted one from the Crowns (tilts the engine over to make it fit in the Crown body) and the straight one. Which one do you need? (Or better, what's it for?). Jeff

    Crown 1UZ fan removal.

Ok. I want to remove the fan hub... I am dispensing with all the ancillaries, except the alternator. I am Ok with the fan... But I want to remove the hub bearing etc from the front plate. Cheers. And thanks for the reply.

    Crown 1UZ fan removal.

YEs, I know it's been done, but the search keeps on bringing up blank threads (old??). Anyway, I want to remove the fan hub from my 1UZ that was in a Crown, so it has/had the viscous coupling fan. I have taken off the mounting plate, but apart from cutting the whole thing in 1/2, how do I remove...

1UZ Issue at Full Engine Load!

Havent been on for a long time so scuse the ignorance, but as George R said, what is your system? I can assume off-road? Anyway, you said after the first few runs. Were THEY OK? Was it because the engine was cold, then perhaps overheating? Do you have a water temp gauge? What was it reading. I...

    Wanted wtd info re mounts

Sorry, 1936 Chev roadster. With the box section chassis. The standard Crown mounts are a bit too far back so the steering shaft wants to go right where the engine mount is. If I can get a pair of those alloy mounts, and mount them so they point forward, that will give enough clearance for the...

Hi All: Mounting a 1UZ (ex Crown) into a Chev. Mounts are a little too far back, is there mounts that mount a bit further forward? Cheers

    Fuel pump relay setup.

Most cars of the 70's and 80's with carbies and electric fuel pumps used this technique. Some used oil pressure - which meant if the oil pressure didn't build up enough, there'd be a lag as the pump was switched off from the start circuit, and on again via oil pressure. Others used the...

    Fuel pump?

Nice one. I wonder how many "dead" computers are fixed this way, after the unsuspecting customer has paid for a new one... (Then the old one gets resold as "reconditioned"?)
