what block is it? you are aware of the extra oil feed to the VVT-i mech in VVT-i blocks? turn the motor over and remove the cam saddles between the unloaded valves make sure it's getting oil where it should and check valve clearances.

depends on the "build" the pistons could be un-coated and running lots of clearance as a performance rather than street build... that said, never seen someone sell a good built motor, if it was so good they would of used it!

does not look to hard for someone of your skill... make a strait thermostat housing in a lathe and then use a silicon 90' pointing down..

I think you would be better off de-soldering the stock ecu connector and making a megasquirt board that fits in the stock ecu case and takes the stock ecu connector.

Oil surge, with the sustained high RPM running probably had a lot of oil up in the heads and a lot less in the sump! If you want to do that kind of thing a dry sump setup would be ideal, second best would be a big accusump!

another engine will be cheaper, probably pick up a whole soarer for $1000!

US made fuel pumps seem to be hit and miss, had an Aeromotive pump crap out with not much use a month or so ago...

Couple of ways you can do it, Swap the OD assy, front pump, rear speed sensor (and drill the hole for the front speed sensor if the UZ auto as it) and valve body from the 1UZ trans to the 7M trans this will let you run the trans off the 1UZ ecu Or Take it to a transmission place ask them to...

You could get that rewound for not much, use it as a drum/transfer pump...

Would highly suggest you look into a truetrac, going through all the B.S of adjusting the diff only to have it go open in 3 months and have to do it all again.... been there done that...

any corrosion on the terminals? I'd suggest if you are going anywhere near salt water you check, clean and apply dielectric grease to all connectors!

Keep the cable or you will not get a line pressure increase with throttle. fitting a ls460 trans... anything is possible... esay... probably not...

No Probs, yes cable that go's to throttle, commonly incorrectly referred to as a kick-down cable

suprastick - very basic, works ok most of the time, will only work with cable line pressure trans PCS TCM2000 - advanced, costly, support is crappy, works with any trans
