The 1UZ i just bought was up around 180psi on all cyls after a 5min run in the halfcut.
Later inspection showed it wasnt in the best shape though with lots of burnt on oil in the innards.
So itll be interesting to see how mine goes considering the good comp test but bad burnt oil.
Goal or not, its what has happened.
I think many of us frequent forum readers have decided to read his posts only for comedic value anyway... certainly not for opinions or tech information.
Search for "1JZ 747" on Youtube and youll find lots of vids of him.
Here is a 9.3sec quarter:

Doesnt look so much like a sleeper there though with the pizza cutters, stickers & chute.
The ultimate sleeper is 1JZ-747.
A 10sec Cressida that looks like a grandparents car.
The only hint its got something a little extra is the intercooler... but even thats not very obvious.
Hi all,
Anyone have a spare alternator in decent condition they want to get rid of?
Im having trouble finding one here in Adelaide at a decent price :(
Thanks!
Im glad this thread is active at the moment otherwise i could have had the same problem.
Since my 1UZ is on an engine stand atm i had a look at my starter today.
Took the starter apart, the bearings, solenoid contacts & brushes all look good.
Gave it a quick paint too ;)
You should think about adding an "Off Topic" forum Lex.
It would be good to keep this kinda chatter away from the other tech talk that happens in this "General" forum.
Itll be easy for commentators to get carried away (isnt this what they are paid for anyway?) and start calling him the "best athlete ever".
As one commentator here said, there was an Olympian (cant remember the details) who won gold in 4 completely different events.
Ie, not just swimming, or...
LOL at the "Property of Lextreme" logo.
If you put photos on the net, they *will* be copied.
Unless you are going to sue anyone else that uses the photos, the logo is useless.
Cant blame it on a typo, you did it more than once :lick:
Ill always avoid swimming, track & field, rowing, gymnastics, etc.
Cycling, soccer, shooting, volleyball, etc ill watch though.
Woah, piping spaghetti.
Would have taken a very long time to build... well done.
Will be interesting to see what it sounds like at mid/high rpms under load.
Actually some Australian V8 supercars do run aircon and power steering.
Mainly because sometimes they race endurance events in >40degC (>100degF) temps.
... but we are getting off topic.
