Hi all, Im considering buying a SC400/Soarer for my daily car. One concern i have though is how they handle, and how much they can be improved. I need a car that doesnt feel like a boat... i do a lot of windy hills driving. Ie, fairly stiff suspension, not much roll, handles like its on rails...

Its a RT112, not a RT104. BTW, getting a 1UZ into one of these could be rather difficult due to double arm front suspension resulting in a narrower engine bay. Same era Celicas, etc had mcpherson strut which 1UZs will fit into (as i am doing). Photo of a nice one:

Consider Opera too. Opera is almost as fast as Chrome, and Opera has most of the features that FF users commonly want.

What style fingers are on that pressure plate? If they are straight (like most are), the bearing on the howe unit is not suitable as its made for curved fingers. The bearing should be a cone or slanted shape. The howe bearing will work, but there is a good chance itll fail prematurely.
