    63 impala (1uz or 2jz?)

The small block chevy engine without exhaust manifolds or headers is about 20.125 inches. The 1UZFE is about 24.500 inches. But in a 63 Impala I know a big block will fit with room to spare. Fitting the engine will not be a problem. Fitting the 1U with a pair of turbos will be easy in that...

Cast Aluminum Rear Drop Sump for 1UZ

Yeah I think you may be ahead of your time here. Most of these engines are not used in vehicles where people spend money on the underside. Hopefully you will do them and the final product will inspire excitement. And money in your pocket. Jake

    63 impala (1uz or 2jz?)

I am in the middle of doing a 1UZ swap on my 73 Nova right now. As far as mounting and problems that need to be overcome we have the same issues. Before you work out what kind of engine you want to use first what are you planning to do with the car? How do you want to use it? The differences...

Cast Aluminum Rear Drop Sump for 1UZ

I am interested. Not sure if it will work with my project or the future ones I am lining up. But more products and innovation is always a good thing. Jake

    Doing the 5 speed swap

I have just started really getting into building the kit for my own 5 speed swap. I have an entire sheet metal & machine shop at my own use, an engineering background and years of Solidworks. So this is just plain fun for me going from scratch. As I have started finding the parts I decided on...

    V8 5 speed conversion

Buy a good quality complete kit from someone and you will be able to go to any transmission shop to have the swap done. If the kit is complete and well built then its no different than doing a transmission R&R. Jake

    V8 5 speed conversion

Well I am using a R154 5 speed from any turbo MKIII Supra from 87-92. Be careful that you are getting a W58 from a MKIV. It also came in the MKII from 82-86. The transmission is not the same. The W58 in the MKIV is improved and tougher. Jake

    V8 5 speed conversion

John, I am in the middle of doing it right now. Cost is sort of relative. There are complete kits out there ranging from 700.00 up to 2500.00 dollars. It depends a lot on your skill level also. I have a complete sheet metal and machine shop. So I am just building it myself. I also could...

SC400 W58 Swap Parts List (Clarification Needed)

Instead of a MKIII W58 take a look at a MKIV W58. I don't remember what the differences are but I have been told in the past by a couple of people that would know that those are stronger than the previous units. Jake

    1UZ into `56 F100

NICE! The 56 F100 will always be my favorite. I have had three but its been more than 10 years since the last one. Don't ever get rid of it. And sweet choice for a power plant. Now that's Hot Rodding. Jake

Any supercharger manifold cnc files out there?

From time to time they do. Take a look around for other Lexus forums as well. I have bought various engine parts from some of the other Lexus websites. Sorry David I am not cheating just stepping out a little. Jake

Any supercharger manifold cnc files out there?

I was not going to say anything on this thread but ruishy just hit on it. I am doing a M112 manifold but I have a couple of special requirements that keep me from buying the Bullet manifold. I have everything dimensioned and about 50% of it into Solidworks already. But just getting all the...

Parts FS: R154 with 1uz adapter and bellhousing!

Halcyon, I had the same problem as you. I just combed Craigslist religiously. All the junkyards wanted stupid money and some of the website forums just seemed to be hit and miss junk. Then someone local put one up and I ran over and got it. He was not a supra person and did not advertise...

    maximum rpm on 1UZ?

If your going to extrude hone the intake then go ahead and extrude hone the heads. They can do both. Jake

Any supercharger manifold cnc files out there?

DP, I am designing up one in Solidworks for a M112 Eaton on my car now. I have several 3 axis HAAS machines and a 4th as well. But none of these will machine up a manifold like Bullets. There are some edges and ports required that would be difficult to properly make in a 5 axis machine and...

Advice on fitting an M122 to a 1UZFE

I am getting ready to do this as well. First I need to finish making the adapter to bolt the R154 to the back of the 1U. But then I need to start working on the M122 and get it mounted properly. Jake

    1UZFE 1976 GMC pick up

WOW! Nice work. I am putting everything together for a 1UZFE with a M112 Eaton and a Supra 5 speed in my 73 Nova SS. Keep it up. Glad I am not the only older Chevy dude on here. Jake
