    Cheaper Getrag 5 speed conversion

Jim, What is your budget? Have any friends that work at a machine shop? Isn't the Toyota Supra R154 available there? Make some rough measurements of where the shifter hole is on the Jag. You may want to search for a transmission that puts the shifter as close as possible to that hole...

    microtech,

Make sure to post up results. Hopefully there is something wrong with it. Otherwise sorting this problem out is going to require a serious probe through the wiring and components. Jake

    microtech,

Have you double checked all the grounds? If you have a ground that is not just about perfect you will get this type of problem. If they are OK then you will need to start looking at components. Jake

    microtech,

Did it ever work properly or is this the first start up with it? Jake

    1uzfe Cooling Question

Its impossible with the information given to supply an intelligent answer. The 1U typically cools very well. Have you added up the amperage of the 4 fans to make sure you're not going to cook the alternator? I just helped put a 16" Zirgo in a XR4Ti Merkur that is 3.5 inches tall. I had to be...

    Divorce Approaching

I work from the approach that if my wife is not amused then I am not doing something right. I find that the fun stuff usually does not make her happy. So I say job well done. Jake

Blown sc400 with 8 throttle body

There is someone here locally that is doing a XR4Ti. It fits real good but man a lot of fab work. I had to build him a custom pan and pickup. But once in it fits ridiculously really well. Jake

    Can anybody help me out?

Good deal. I should be able to make them at David's pricing if I make 10 or 12 of them. Then stick the remainder on the shelf. Jake

    Can anybody help me out?

Well either measure it up or I can 3D scan it. Either way. Jake

    Can anybody help me out?

I don't have the bracket and I know David has had to take a step back. But if someone could supply me with the pattern I can make the "fish" bracket available again. I have a laser and can cut them out easily and accurately. Jake

    Lextreme hacked?

I usually just go straight to the forum by a link I have had forever. But I went to the main page and clicked that link it does exactly what you describe. It looks like the link just go broken and needs to be repaired. I don't see any hacking. Usually that page comes up as a generic place...

    Wanted WTB: 1UZFE Parts

I don't have an extra harness but I will look this evening. I should have a throttle body. The intake tube you are asking for is this the one from the throttle body to the air flow meter? I think I also have a MAF. If someone could supply me something to measure or a drawing with dimensions...

    Building my transmission adapter

Well I got it all done and bolted up. So that's it for this thread. Now onto engine & transmission mounts to put all this into a 73 Nova SS. I drilled and tapped four holes in the middle for 7/16-20 bolts that I lathed down in diameter about 3/4 of an inch to let the bearing ride on...

    Sequential Gearbox for 1UZ

Without an adapter? No one. There is no factory bellhousing that lets a 1U have a manual transmission bolt right up. There are a lot of ways to bolt up most popular manual transmissions using aftermarket methods. Do you have a favorite box your thinking about? Jake

    Building my transmission adapter

You re-prove the point that no one piece of software fits everywhere. I have not had Mastercam in my shop for over 5 years. But there solution to every problem I had was to change my shop around to fit their software. Gibbs works well for 3 axis jobs as long as you are not surfacing. Also...
