I agree with you. But I got in a 1U with billet fuel rails and at first glance I though early motor. But the lack of the coolant crossover temp sensor showed it to be a OBDII engine. Further disassemble proved it to be OBDII. The motors are getting to a point now where we might start seeing...

Its a very subjective thing. The 1U engine in that vehicle for me would work fine on the street. Light duty trailing would work good as well. After that I think you might find the engine will start running out of power. Running on the dunes would also quickly show the limits of the engine...

Yeah I have seen those two. The one I am working on is machined from a solid piece of billet. It is a lower, middle and an upper plate. I can see a number of issues with the box on the lower manifold. But it would probably not manifest itself on something like a 4X4. Jake
