Anyone know how to replicate this sort of sound?

Yeah that is what I have but not from that manufacturer. Not like it really matters. Its just a copy of a stock system. Best sounding exhaust I ever heard on one of those engines used a chambered pipe on each side from a 69 Camaro Z28 competition car. It was a repo but still good quality...

Anyone know how to replicate this sort of sound?

The Mustang is a 4.6L. Its a set of tuned headers. The mufflers are in front of the axle. The exhaust outlets go right out the back. The Mustang is a 98 GT and if you look up what the factory exhaust looks like then you will have it. The aftermarket exhaust mimics the factory exhaust...

Anyone know how to replicate this sort of sound?

It reminds me a lot of the sound my Mustang makes. Tubing is 2.75 all the way back. There is an X pipe with no cats. To 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers. Just making a total guess here but I bet it has an H pipe. But its just a feeling/guess based on the way the cylinders sound like they are...

New to the Lexus V8 Scene

The popularity of this engine was never that high in the US. Its much higher overseas and that is where the majority of speed parts are produced for them. Everybody wants the newest, latest and greatest in their car. They never consider or have ever heard of the 1U. Which I would put up...

New to the Lexus V8 Scene

Glad to hear it. I went with the R154 myself. Although I am kind of kicking myself for not putting a 6spd in it. Maybe next time around. Look forward to seeing what you come up with. Jake

New to the Lexus V8 Scene

Opinions will vary on this but from my own experience if that is what you are going to use I would make sure I was using a light vehicle. The torque comes on so fast in the 1U that one of those transmissions would not last long in a heavy vehicle. If you are trying to keep costs down why not...

New to the Lexus V8 Scene

Welcome. You will be amazed where that motor will fit and how well it will work. I helped another member put one in a Merkur XR4ti of all things and it fit like it wanted to be there factory. Now its his daily driver. I put one in a 73 Nova SS. Its a better SCCA engine I think then and...

Get complete custom manifold or have OEM machined? Supercharger

They are not going to be able to really tell you anything unless they have built one identical to yours. Seriously if you're going to do it then do it. At the minimum have a good A/F gauge running and keep an eye on it while driving around. Its exactly what I would do if I was going to go...

Get complete custom manifold or have OEM machined? Supercharger

I have no experience at your elevation. But if everything is functioning as it should and you don't have gears and big tires then yes. But again make sure at the minimum you run a A/F gauge. Jake

Get complete custom manifold or have OEM machined? Supercharger

You should be fine. I would add a air/fuel gauge at the very minimum though. You're at quite an altitude and my answer was centered off sea level. Jake

Get complete custom manifold or have OEM machined? Supercharger

Maybe I missed it but what vehicle are you doing this in? If you are going to do this in a 1987 Toyota regular cab pickup than no it won't be an issue. If you are doing it in a 1987 Toyota Dolphin motorhome than yes. There are a number of situations where it would become a problem. Jake

Get complete custom manifold or have OEM machined? Supercharger

I always like to tell people that its not the big parts that will get you. Its the nuts and bolts that will drain your wallet. What ever you think it will cost you for the parts other than then the manifold, double that number. That will be half what it will take. And what you will end up...

Get complete custom manifold or have OEM machined? Supercharger

Yeah no problem. Even for someone like me that has all the play toys as far as machines. It is still cheaper and faster to buy a product that works from someone else. Jake

Get complete custom manifold or have OEM machined? Supercharger

The bullet manifold will work better. You will save money, frustration and money in the end unless you can do the machining and welding yourself. I have a full aerospace machine shop and sheet metal shop at my disposal. I would still buy the Bullet manifold. Nothing you could do with the...

Bellhousing to Engine block CAD file

Dave, I have made no accurate measurements of the engine itself save a couple of items. One being the mating face of the transmission and the block. Then I have on of the engine mounting pads but I have no verified its accuracy as yet. I have been doing a lot of stuff with the intake for a...

    New R154 adapter from 4u2quik

Same problem I have here. Except the type of welder I need I think may have all fled the state. I know three welders that have the proper certs in order and can do the job. All three are now in Texas. Thank you Jerry Brown! Jake
