Dynoed my 2009 GS460 bone stock!

That isn't as rich as some Toyotas. Namely turbocharged models. Toyota uses this tune in place of forged pistons which are noisy and not permited in luxury cars.

    Gas Prices

Everybody knows that most "alternative fuels" are still "fossil fuels" and the cost variation is legislation used to close markets to consumers.

    A650e or A340e

Use the A340E with a performance valve body. It will last much longer and drive better. Driving better is my opinion, lasting longer is fact.

    93 GS300/1UZ mounts?

Why not just get a GS400? Rather than pull the 2JZ that is just waiting to be turbocharged?

    5.7L Iforce swap

A 5.7 V8 swap is a great idea. As long as you are using an LS1. Yes, I know how old this thread is.

    Chevy LT5 DOHC, 32v V8

I saw the thread title and was going to say "Chevy" has nothing to do with it. But I see it was explained that GM outsourced the engine. I agree, it is a beast of an engine, and isn't even wound up tight. I liked that car, and still do. You know what is funny, is the ads from GM back then...

    Ford F250/ 1UZ-FE-

That explains it. That year Ford came with a 6.0 liter with 300 bhp and 500 lb/ft of torque. If your country allows such an engine. The 4L diesel isn't even offered in the US.

    2x MAF

The higher voltage would represent both on the single input, unless the ECU code was written for two. On a 1UZFE with its Karman Vortex, the signal is probably unreadable. Worst case scenario one is on while the other is off. The KV meter creates frequency in a square wave.

another f-ing problem! car is turning over w/o key in ignition

If you hadn't said the relay was stuck, I would have said you installed the wiring wrong, and have energized the signal wire to battery positive, the same as the main power. The signal is obviosuly for the crank position. A stuck relay does the same thing. It energizes the signal wire all the time.

92 sc400. Car starts then boggs down and shuts off

For good reason, as you listed.

    Another 1UZ powered A70 Supra

So, how is it running? Any hiccups now that it has been installed a while? It has to be nice to drive with the large displacement jump.

    Reverse gear is slipping

What are you talking about? The automatic is a planetary gearset with no synchronizers at all. Reverse is gotten by holding the carrier. Unplug your range selector and see how it drives. This is step two after fluid checks. After that, DTC's. Toyota 340 series will function normal without any...

Michigan 1UZ - MkIII Supra swap

I think on the old site V8Supra.com, he weighed the 7MGTE when pulled, with some accessories at 440 lbs. The 1UZ he weighed at 370 lbs. Still worth it to me. After reading this, and Supramania, I have been contemplating a swap. Not in my car I have now. I would have to get another MA70 with...

    1UZ v.s. 2JZ GTE

A big flaw with the Nissan GT-R

I think it is hideously ugly, with a hideous non luxury interior. And then it is heavy and expensive.

    Fly wheel bolts and crank

We used black FIPG on crank bolts when I worked at Toyota.

    Gas Price

E85 has a lower BTU content than gasoline. It does allow more aggressive tuning, which you can do on a car with forged internals, but most don't have.

Can you pull codes with no engine light on?

The engine light comes on because airflow is critical, and not two trip logic.
