The latest news on Anthony's Twin Turbo 1uzfe

Just wanted to let everyone know that Autronic makes very high grade stuff, and I can say that because I am using their SMC 1.99 ECU and love it. Good luck on everything, sounds badass. My project is an 88 All-Trac Celica, also turbo and 1uz but I am still finishing my other car so she waits. :(

    Twin Turbo Header

I can't quite tell, but it looks like you have used 2 flanges for each manifold? I would suggest just cutting them apart to allow for thermal expansion, it can prevent cracking as well as a brace. (Although not 100% needed. I figure; it can't hurt.) They look good, good job! I am glad you went...

    473hp/376tq 3UZ-FE

haha, it's all good, we all get misinformed from time to time. If you have any other 3S related questions I can answer them, it's my favorite 4-banger!

Got the HKS 3037's.... Picts inside

Yeah, I'm seriously considering them. What's the best quote you've seen for em?

    473hp/376tq 3UZ-FE

When I pop a head off my 1uz, I will compare with my 3s-gte head.

Got the HKS 3037's.... Picts inside

I've seen one on a 3s-gte 2.0L before and it had a pretty nice powerband. I hope you'll give us dynos when you get em! I am leaning toward the 60-1 twins, so hopefully they will be as insane as I expect.

    1UZ on an aftermarket computer

Autronic SM2 and SM4 work for sure, SMC should work too actually.

    473hp/376tq 3UZ-FE

Toyota released the 3s-ge and 3s-fe and the GE always had a better power curve, making more power as well. Obviously different engines are going to behave differently with different heads but as far as I ever learned, FE heads were supposed to made for a more mild fuel-efficient engine. Why else...

    My V8 90 model duelcab hilux 4x4

Actually, if you turn the blade backwards and mount it as a pusher, it will be slightly more efficient.

    maximum rpm on 1UZ?

Just using a simple oil pressure gauge lets you know what pressure at any rpm. Once I hook up the Autronic to this one, I can log oil pressure/rpm for you. As a side note for revving high, Knife-edging the crank also helps a lot with reving high and actually frees up quite a bit of power...

    Of course it can!

Twin Turbo 1UZ, but which Ones???

Don't bother with the TINY 3000GT turbos, they are good for maybe a honda civic, most standard t3 turbos would spool faster and have more top-end. Good sized T3 twins or t3/T4 would be the cheapest/best way to go. The GT series is badass but they run $1500 per turbo.

    22.3 psi @ 3806 rpm

Also remember that people at higher and lower altitudes will have different readings due to barometric pressure differences. Out here in Boulder and Denver Colorado, 14-17 In/Hg is average and that is at 5800ft.

    Eight extra injectors..

The stock ecu is not programmed to change parameters when compression is changed so I wouldn't bother with it untill you go aftermarket ems. Obvioiusly small changes in compression won't affect too much, such as head gaskets. But I'd like to see before and after dynos on stock ecu. Almost...

    Eight extra injectors..

Your points are obviously important and are to be taken into consideration by all. The 1st and 3rd generation 3s-gte is 8.5:1 while the 2nd is 8.8:1. There is a reason why cars with higher compression make more power on less boost, while doing it sooner too; The internal cylinder pressure...
