    Accessory deletion

We deleted the air conditioner pump and moved the ps pump to the ac pump space on the other side of the engineon our two Cobras. This is how we adapted the oem tensioner. Take the original tensioner off the engine and remove the idler pulley. Now split the casing from the backing plate (...

    1uzfe coolant expansion volume

Matt, On our Cobra builds we used the expansion tanks from Volvo 440's iirc ( mid sized boxy shape cars) which are perfect for the job. Small, relatively shallow but with a small bore connection for the top of the radiator and a larger bore connector at the base of the tank for the main supply...

    Serpentine Belt. Power Steering Delete

I deleted the factory PS pump and put a smaller replacment pump into the vacant a/c compressor position. I then just swap the spring in the tensioner so that the tension is reversed. A simple bit of engineering is required ie drilling a new hole for the spring to lock into and drilling and...

Rebuild Wellcraft 185hp OMC to 1UZ-FE Lexus V8 Mercruiser

Hi Theo, Nice to see what the engine is going into. I think the boat should be a bit rapid with the power you have available. Is there a speed limit on the canals there? Cheers, Tony

    ECU Need to start engine

Just for info I've just checked my past emails and so far at least 26 guys have wired up their 1UZFE's following a bit of advice from myself and a few emailed diagrams. "hehehehehe" So, as you can see, to state that no one replies or gives any help to request such as those contained in this...

    LS 400 Towing Bracket

Guys, I'm looking to fit a towing bracket to my "snotter" LS400. The car is a 1994 and I have been offered a secondhand but unused/ unfitted towing bracket and electrics for a 1995 model. Does anyone know if there any differences between a 1994 and 1995 LS400 that would stop me being able...

    1UZFE into Rover P5B

Neil, Pic 1 Heater hoses. Pic 2 ? Specific to SC not on an LS400 Pic 3 Missing EGR pipe , can be blocked off both ends. Pic 4 Idle valve, this inlet allows air into the idle control valve and is fed from the air inlet after the MAF sensor. Cheers, Tony

Got an aftermarket Big brake kit and your wheels won’t fit. DYI

I'd prefer to see the spacer machined out of steel rather than aluminium as the rotors/ discs can get extremely hot, well beyond aluminium melting point, and the aluminium doesnt even have to be melting to lose shape, strength and rigidity. Or perhaps I'm just a being a bit of a wet blanket...

    1UZFE into Rover P5B

The engine and gearbox ECU are both in the same unit. I'd also get the complete loom from the front of the car both inside the engine bay and inside the car and dashboard, the complete fuel system including the fuel pump, fuel tank( useful for bulkhead fittings for fuel return lines) the fuel...

    Sensors

Oil teperature doesn't have an OEM sensor so I used the oil level sender access point into the sump, removed the floats and switch and simply attached the oil temp sender to the original in sump bracket. I then connected up the wiring so that I could use the original OEM plug to send the temp...

V8 Supra MK3 1UZ Twin Turbo from Germany

Hi Alex, As you are putting a lot more stress on the engine I'd be inclined to see if I could get the oil pressure a bit higher than the 45 to 55 psi you're seeing at the moment. The standard 1UZ should be pushing up to 100psi at the higher revs and at idle about 60 psi, the oil pressure you...
