Are the connectors beside the fuse box plugged in tightly? Are the connectors on to the ecu in good condition? I had one the other day where one pin on the ecu plug wasnt tight causing and issue. Fortunately a quick test found it. Do you have connection with the OBD2 port for live data?

Yes, I would be fine with using the second one, if fact its my preferred item with a replacement connector as connector is different, but switch operates and fits transmission fine

Have you checked what code 24 and 31 relate to? Checked for spark? Checked fuel flow? Confirmed if it starts on starter fluid? Etc etc?

Here is some info on the process of reflashing the 3uz ecu. Yes it can be done , yes its good for stock vehicles and engine swaps , yes its good for automatic and manual , yes the VVti will function correctly after the reflash without the auto, , yes immobilizer can be deleted.

Yes, thats how injectors work.

Seeing its a ground switch, to test, check if there is or isn't a ground on the output.

Yes, I have seen maybe 5 ecus with stuffed injector drives causing injectors to stay on but its really easy to test for to confirm. Given the number of 1uz I work on this is an extremely small occurrance. One every 3 years. I have seen it a few times on other models but its very rare.

Maybe so testing is in order. If I was really worried I would be measuring the TDC of each piston to confirm no bent rods. The Last number of a toyota part number is when a part is superseded so interchange fine.

Maybe swap to the later small coils. Easy as.

I'm not sure from memory but I have them in stock as I ran out of them second hand and some were too damaged to simply change the bearings in. I do prefer to flick a new bearing in where I can. Seems wasteful to throw a good pulley when it just needs a bearing fitted.

Yes, work fine in a swap when done correctly. I flash out the auto stuff and there is no fault codes. Heres one I did recently.

Not really that common, but common enough that I might see it 1-2 times a year.
